Steampunk mod seen at VapeBash 3
There are some pretty damn crazy, I mean CRAZY mods out there. If you think all ecigs look alike, you my friend are in for a big surprise. People have been modding their electronic cigarettes since the devices were invented. There are ecigs made of Altoids tins, Nintendo controllers and Atari joysticks. One company has even made vaporizers out of energy and pop cans. They have glass straws that serve as a drip tip. There are ecig mods made of all kinds of old school tobacco pipes. Here are the 5 strangest ecig mods out there.
Crowd from the first VapeBash
It’s almost time for VapeBash‘s third annual vape meet! This Friday and Saturday, April 11-12, VapeBash will take over the Westin O’Hare in Rosemont, Illinois. The Windy City Vapers Club produces this event every year to celebrate all things vaping. This event is super fun. If you discuss e-cigs on ECF, other forums, and in Facebook groups, it’s really fun to meet the people in real life (IRL) who you only know online. At the first VapeBash I met a lot of customers who I’d talked to on ECF, but never actually met in person.
Today an old friend from high school posted about ecigs on her Facebook Wall. Working for Vapor4Life I forget that there’s a lot of people who still don’t really understand vaping. I was happy to see that one of her friends who vape commented “How fast are they supposed to kill you? I’ve been using one every day for the past 2 years.”
This is a guest blog post by Morandir. I’ve always been a bit torn on disposables. Reason behind that is of course the waste factor. I know too many people who buy them and throw them away like they’re regular trash afterwards. Disposable electronic cigarettes have a place though. If you haven’t vaped before and are looking to switch it’s a far cheaper alternative to getting a full starter kit, and with established vapers they make a great emergency back up (keep one in my car at all times for that very reason).
Battery broken? If your ecig isn’t working, this could be very annoying. You might be out and about, with just one batt, or you have a spare, but it’s not charged. Ah fret not my fellow vapers. If your batt isn’t working, there are a few things you should try doing before throwing your hands up in frustration. Here’s a checklist for you:
Have you heard the term “dual use?” This refers to people who smoke cigarettes AND vape electronic cigarettes.
People wonder if e-cigs are an effective smoking cessation tool. Now as an ecig manufacturer and retailer, we can’t say that they are. If we were to say that, we’d have to be regulated as a drug under the FDA. Our products are an alternative to smoking, but we don’t say “they will help you quit smoking.” We leave that to the customers to find out for themselves.

Vapor4Life recently released two new flavors – WOW Vapor Smilin Tobacco and Smilin Tobacco Menthol. The flavor is available in both 30ml bottles and cartomizers. I’ve been testing both new juices pretty heavily the past few weeks on a number of different set ups. I wanted to be as thorough as possible (no surprise for those who are used to my reviews).
BHam and Kevin
Have you heard about our new vape shop in Chicago? E-Cigs by WOW Vapor just opened in the Lincoln Square neighborhood at 2307-B W. Lawrence Ave. on the corner of Western and Lawrence. If you’ve ever been to our flagship store in Northbrook, you probably know Kevin. He’s now the store manager at the new store. Vicky, who used to be a customer service rep at Vapor4Life is now the assistant store manager.
Next Monday (2/24), Los Angeles City Council’s Arts, Parks, Health, Aging & River Committee expects to consider an ordinance that would ban use of e-cigarettes wherever smoking is prohibited. This will take place at its next regular meeting, in room 1060, City Hall, 200 N. Spring Street, Los Angeles, CA 90012. We need your help to prevent this from happening!
We LOVE vaping here at Vapor4Life! Here are our top 10 reasons:
#10) We’re saving lots of moolah, to spend on cooler stuff than smokes.
#9) No more dirty looks from non-smokers.
#8) No more bad breath.
#7) No more stained fingers.
#6) Our clothes don’t smell anymore.
#5) We don’t have to stand outside in the middle of winter to enjoy a vape break.
#4) I don’t fear falling asleep with a cig in my hand.
#3) No more gross ashtrays stinking up the house and car.
#2) Vaping makes us feel better, and our lungs aren’t being exposed to the over 4,000 chemicals in tobacco cigarettes.
#1) We get to help other people feel better too!
Why do you love vaping? Any other reasons that you can think of?
