I recently got the pleasure to visit Vapor4Life outside Chicago for a few days. Anyone from the forums know who Mark, Chad, Wader, Mariano, Smilin sirs, and Ms. Audrey are, but few realize all the other people who work their tails off to provide us the customer service level we have come to know and love. They are the unsung behind-the-scenes folks who stock the supplies, pack the orders, and take care of all the customer service needs people have every day. These are the people who make sure what we order is packed and sent quickly, stocked correctly, and do the grunt work so many of us take for granted.

Dear Diary,

I smoked for about 30 years. For almost as long as that, I have wanted to be a runner. I have always had dreams of running, and know that deep down inside me there is a runner. It’s a very strange thing to put into words, but I believe that each of us has this person we were meant to be inside of us. But, our personal circumstances have not allowed that person to come out. I am not afraid to say that I do not consider myself a person who finishes what she starts when it comes to fitness, losing weight, eating right and giving up the stinkies. If it’s uncomfortable, I want nothing to do with it. I let myself off the hook and never hold myself accountable. Continue reading

technical reviews because I don’t have that skill. I don’t know an amp from a mah or an ohm. People in the know tell me what they are and what they do, and go on about resistance and load and I nod and smile, my mind wandering. Actually, it’s not quite that bad, but I just have difficulty retaining what I have learned past the actual conversation at hand. Fortunately, I have knowledgeable friends that are very tolerant of my mental block. I have great respect for those with that talent, and am everlastingly grateful to them for their help. Smoking Inside Allowed Again?

In less than two weeks from now, the Springfield Illinois Legislature will make a decision on bill HB 4012. If passed, it would allow some businesses to apply for smoking licenses that would allow their patrons to smoke in their establishments. Eligible establishments include bars, casinos, adult entertainment night clubs, and any establishment hosting a convention or exposition for selling cigars, pipes, tobacco and related smoking devices and accessories.

In order to take part, businesses would be required to apply for and get a license through a local liquor control commission. It would require the establishment to let all employees know that smoking is allowed on the premises, install an air filtration system, and post a sign in a prominent place notifying the public that it has been designated as a smoking establishment.

The bill would be an amendment to the Smoke Free Illinois Act. Smoking in all indoor public places was banned in Illinois beginning January 1, 2008. State Representative Anthony DeLuca has proposed the bill after introducing a similar one last year. That one passed the committee but never made it to the floor for debate.
