A lot of people ask me, “should I get the Vapor Zeus or Dial-A-Volt?” I usually say both, because they are totally different and both revolutionary in their own way. If you have to choose one, then I hope when you’re done reading this you’ll have enough info to decide. Both our Vapor Zeus and Dial-A-Volt batteries come in two versions – manual and auto. Actually the Vapor Zeus Dual Mode – get this – has BOTH options. Very cool. These batteries have a soft touch, just like our Vapor Titan stick batts. They come in 5 colors (black, blue, cigar, green, and magenta). Both the Zeus and DAV are KR808D-threaded and will work with Smileomizers, 808 tanks, CoolCarts and WOW Vapor cartomizers. The main differences between the Zeus and Dial-A-Volt is that the Zeus can be used as a passthrough, and the DAV’s voltage can be adjusted.
What’s blue, green, pink and chewy? No, not a dog toy….it’s our brand new colorful Smileomizers! We first introduced our new cartomizer in black and a cigar color to match the Vapor Zeus. Just last week we got three new colors for this revolutionary ecig battery – magenta, blue and green! Well, as anyone who’s met our founder and CEO Steve “Smilin” Milin knows, the ecig device has to match! So how could we not sell matching Smileomizers?
With the release of the 1300mah Vapor Zeus and Large Smileomizer, V4L now has two size offerings on their latest personal vaporizer. I figured people would want the technical scoop on the new products along with my short review.
You have read my blog long enough to know that I don’t write reviews just to write them. I decide what I write about, and I have rules. With only one exception, (a bottle of e-liquid from V4L) I have chosen and purchased, each item I have reviewed. Yes, I do use coupons and discounts, just as you do, if they are available. I would like to think that it is due to my pride and the ability to say whatever I want in a review. But, honestly, I think that I am so sporadic when I write, that I manage to stay off the list of sought-after reviewers. Does this keep me from writing a review when I am moved to do so? No! When I find something really outstanding, I want to share it!
Recently Vapor4Life released the last three sizes and colors of their auto Dial-A-Volt (DAV) line. (When it first came out, it was only available in black 1100mAh). The first thing that stands out about this DAV is the lack of a button. For the auto lovers of the vaping world this is one-of-a-kind pv, seeing as there are currently no other automatic variable voltage devices on the market of any type. It is a “sealed” auto connection, but one without any of the kinks of some of the previous “sealed autos”. There’s been no switch or draw issues to speak of. In fact the draw is much like that of a Vapor King Diamond Manual (in other words very analog-like), and the switch is as responsive as the unsealed auto King Diamonds of old. I haven’t had a single issue of lag or needing to take a very hard draw to activate it.
When I received my Vapor Zeus “vapemail” at around noon I was headed out on a road trip. Perfect time to put these new products through their paces. I switched over from a two-pack a day habit to vaping exclusively in early January. But I was so much worse in the car. I could kill a pack in a couple of hours. All I did was smoke and listen to music. I could easily kill three packs in 600 miles, if not more. That being said, here is how the Vapor Zeus’s (Zeusses?, Zeese?) held up on the trip, and what I think so far.

For almost the entire time I’ve been a V4L customer, Smilin sir has been working on a fixed 5v batt. Today all that work has finally come to fruition. There’s been many pitfalls in the journey of the Vapor Zeus, the first working prototypes were made over a year ago. The only problem being that they could never duplicate the success of the original, which lead to another long delay. More prototypes came, and finally after a few tries, the final product. Since Vapor4Life released the Smileomizer last week, I can finally give up some of the technical info I’ve sat on for a while (since I got back from Chicago). The first thing you’ll notice about these cartos is the drip tip. It’s a completely different design, technically two parts, and only compatible with the Smileomizer. The first part is the metal base that screws on the carto, the second is a high-grade silicon cover that goes over it. In the end what you get is a true cigar-like experience from the drip tip. You can easily chew on it, yet it is rigid enough so that you can hold it in your mouth without issue.
Some of my first V4L e-cigs were Vapor King automatic batteries I got in the starter kit the first time I tried switching over. Because I was topping off old carts (and wasn’t aware of the forums for newbie advice), I quickly made the mistake of flooding a cart. While it was attached to the battery. Ooops. No more battery.
Want to win our latest ecig battery? Our new Automatic V4L Dial-A-Volt is the world’s first automatic variable voltage battery! We are giving out a total of three prizes. All you have to do is tell us the reason(s) you started vaping. (Please see complete rules below.) The winners will be chosen randomly via random.org.
