I wrote this after experiencing a personal tragedy that took place after I got home from Chicago back in February. I lost someone who I’ve known for over half my life, that I’ve also had the pleasure of working with for the past 10 years. Continue reading

Before anything else, I want to thank V4L and Smilin sir for everything. I had a fantastic time, and was made to feel at home the entire time I was there. I will not forget the Chinese New Year party, and wonder how many people actually remember it.

I don’t know if it’s just me, but I find myself needing a second flavor to cleanse my palette every hour or so to help refresh my taste buds. I tend to chain vape
, and after a while, I start not feeling and tasting the flavor of my main vape “WOW New Menthol
” as much. I thought it was my gear. I tried switching out batteries, topping of my charges, refilling my tanks. Nothing was working.

Happy New Year! I know our New Year’s celebrations are long over but the celebrations have just begun in China. The start to the Chinese New Year was on February 10th this year. “This year?”, you may ask. Unlike our New Year, which is the same date for each calendar year, the Chinese New Year follows a lunisolar calendar where the full phases of the moon determine the months. The Chinese New Year begins on the second new moon after the winter solstice which, in 2013, was on February 10.

I actually enjoy the act of smoking a cigarette. It’s every other aspect of cigarettes I do not like. The cost ($11 a pack in NYC!). That lingering smell on my clothing and hands. The cost. Cleaning ashtrays. The cost.
I ended 2012 by joining a gym and signing up for the Spartan Race with one of my best friends. A little self-improvement never hurt anyone, right?

Everyone knows someone in their life that can be a bit stubborn. Some people are set in their ways, have certain routines they get used to, and simply put – don’t want to change. Maybe you are stubborn yourself, or it’s your spouse. Perhaps you and your husband used to smoke together for many years until you discovered a better alternative.
Be sure to always have a few cards with you!
A call to arms! Well, not really, but now that I have your attention, I would like to talk about being an advocate for electronic cigarettes and our culture. As vapers, we feel a special bond with others who carry an ecig. We come together to share stories and laughs, knowing the vaper across from you has been through many of the same struggles.
This is a guest post written by Morandir835, an e-cig enthusiast, admin on the Vapor4Life forum, and a regular on their ECF sub forum.

For ecig vendors the new year is always one of their busiest times. Quite a few people make the new year’s resolution to switch from analogs. This means there’s a high influx of new vapers at the start of each year. What it also means is there are more new people joining the forums
or any social media outlet to find out all they can and make the right decision with their first foray into vaping.

We are well into 2013 and many of us have made or are thinking about making the switch to vaping. What was it like for you when you first made the switch and what advice would you give? We asked this question to our Facebook community and received a ton of replies! Many vapers offered their advice to guide new vapers on their journey. Here are some of the replies:

Vaping veterans – do you remember when you first switched from smoking analogs to using electronic cigarettes? How did it feel? Some people feel sick and have flu-like symptoms for the first few weeks after making the switch. Both people who quit smoking tobacco cigarettes altogether and those who alternatively use e-cigs
can feel these symptoms. This is commonly called the “Smoker’s Flu”.
