Tomorrow (Tuesday, Nov. 26) Chicago’s City Council is going to introduce an ordinance that would expand the city’s regulation of tobacco products to include ecigs. It would prohibit their use in smoke-free areas. Mayor Rahm Emanuel, Alderman Will Burns and Alderman Edward Burke are backing the legislation. If the ordinance passes, Chicago would become the first major city to regulate electronic cigarettes as tobacco products.
Please note: This event is now over. Please check out “Trade a pack for a cold turkey sammie?” for a rundown of our event and others!
We’re getting ready for tomorrow’s 3rd annual Trade-A-Pack event! Beginning at 9am, any smoker can come into our Lounge to trade their pack of smokes for a free ecig kit. The kit includes a battery, a USB charger, and a cartomizer. You choose either menthol or tobacco-flavored cart. Our Smokeless Lounge will be open until 8pm on Thursday so anyone who can’t make it until after work will still be able to take part.
This has been one of the hardest blogs to write. Even now almost two weeks later it’s still hard to put into words how great of an experience VaperCon was. It had almost nothing to do with the items being sold (I only bought one item while I was there – a very limited run mod), but with the people themselves. I have been to all three VaperCons that have taken place thus far. Continue reading
Today is America Recycles Day. It is the only nationally recognized day dedicated to promoting and celebrating recycling. Events take place every year on or around November 15 across the U.S. As a program of Keep America Beautiful, the goal is to get people recycling 365 days a year.
Happy November! Autumn has officially arrived in the Midwest. November is my favorite month for a few reasons. First, I absolutely love fall, for the leaves changing colors, the crisp air, and cozy sweaters. Secondly, it’s my birthday month. November’s birthstone is topaz, which for all you non-artists – that means yellow. What does yellow have to do with electronic cigarettes? Well here at Vapor4Life we have nearly every color under the (yellow) sun! (Sorry, couldn’t resist.)
The Great American Smokeout was created on November 18, 1976 by the California Division of the American Cancer Society. It takes place on the third Thursday of November. This year is our third hosting a free “trade-a-pack” event in our Smokeless Lounge. On Thursday, November 21, smokers are welcome to trade their pack of smokes for an ecigarette kit any time between 9:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. The kit includes a Vapor King battery, a cartomizer, and a USB Charger. Our Lounge will be open for one extra hour to accommodate those who can’t come until after work.
What’s up vapers?! BHam is back with some tips to help you find the perfect vape you’ve been looking for. I’ve been vaping for over two years now (and feel damn good about it too), but it hasn’t always been the smoothest of sailing. Not because I didn’t have great gear to start with, I just wasn’t using any of it for my needs.
Are you allowed to vape at work? If you can, good for you! That’s great that your employer is smart enough to realize that he/she’s saving time and money by allowing you to use your ecig. If you’re not as fortunate, I hope that you’ll be able to change your employer’s mind after giving him/her some info.
