Potential Chicago ecig ban

E-cigs are under attack in Chicago and Illinois! The Chicago City Council is trying to ban e-cigarettes  everywhere tobacco cigarettes are banned. Please help protect your right to vape by contacting your local Alderman, and explaining how e-cigarettes have positively affected your life.

There’s a lot of wrong information floating around about e-cigs. We need to set them straight and provide them with the facts. Many governments from small villages to entire countries have decided to go after electronic cigarettes. A lot of elected officials don’t understand how truly beneficial they are.

When speaking with politicians, we must have a clear message. We will probably have a short period to get our message across. Give them the facts about ecigs, share studies that support our case, and tell them how e-cigarettes have helped you. You can find factual, unbiased reports on the CASAA website. Here are the main things you will want to mention:

1. Reasons you decided to switch from smoking to vaping, and how it has affected your life.

2. Smoking bans are enacted to protect the public from the harms of secondhand smoke. E-cigs have not been shown to cause harm to bystanders. In fact, all evidence to date shows that the low health risks associated with e-cigarettes is comparable to other smokeless nicotine products.

3. It’s easy to tell the difference between someone using an ecig and someone smoking a real cigarette. When someone lights a cigarette, the smell of smoke is easily detected. The vapor produced by e-cigarettes is practically odorless, and doesn’t smell like smoke. With so little evidence of use, it would be nearly impossible to enforce indoor bans on ecigs.

Please spread the word and share this message with your Facebook friends, so they can help our cause!

  1. Now the ban has been passed. And soon ecigs will be treated li ke lighted tobacco products in most states. The bans will be state wide. I emailed Vapor4life people about producing a no/low visibility vapor, and they responded they had no interest in doing that. But basically you’re going to be run out of business if ecigs are banned. These movements are based upon bigotry and if you look like you are smoking, you will be punished, because the nannies hate that behavior, and you need to be punished and discouraged for doing something they don’t approve of. The only remaining permissible bigotry. Now they ban things that just look like things they can’t tolerate. If you do not make a low/no visibility juice, you will be out of business.

  2. Also it’s obvious that ecigs are hurting tax revenues if people switch to them. So these nanny staters would rather people get lung cancer than lose revenues.

  3. I have been saying that for many years!!! Stop making the darn Cigarettes!!! Every time you went to the DR for the last year, everything became “Smoke related!” I got tired of it and quit!!! I am now vaping ;-)
