Did you know that Wednesday, July 24th was National Cousin’s Day? No, I didn’t either! But, luckily, Vapor4Life had a National Cousin’s Day Sale, which reminded me to call my favorite cousin!

My Favorite Cousin

I began smoking in 1967, and my favorite Cousin, Olivia, was right there with me, every step of the way. At family gatherings, we were always sent out to “the back 40″ to indulge in our stinky hobby; and no amount of being banned, no amount of pleading was going to deter us! We were both skinny then because we were busy smoking and not waiting in line for Gramma’s freshly churned ice cream and Auntie’s peach pie, still warm from the oven! Yum, yum!

Most frequently asked e-cigarette questions Part 1 of 2

This is a guest post written by Morandir835, an e-cig enthusiast, admin on the Vapor4Life forum, and a regular on their ECF sub forum.

For people who are just getting started with electronic cigarettes the most frequently asked questions are “what hardware should I get?” and “what flavor should I buy?” There is no right or wrong answers because what works for one, may not work for another.

Little Sister Switches to Electronic Cigarettes

This is guest post written by Via, an e-cig enthusiast living in Jacksonville, Florida.

My biological sister Tina was my best friend until I was 20. But one afternoon an auto accident took the lives of my dad, Tina, and a three-year old child. I was heartbroken, and knew life would never be the same. I went to live in a hole so deep there seemed to be no escape. I didn’t care about anything except my pain, my loss, and my heartbreak.

From Smoke to Vapor (Part 2 of 2)

This is a guest post by Rantz, who writes surrounded by a cloud of vapor.

By the summer of 2010 I’d had enough of smoking. It was a long time coming, built up over the decades, without a single event that pushed me over the edge. Instead it was a thousand little annoyances that ate away day after day, like nibbling ducks, culminating in my serious consideration of giving up the 30-year vice that had become such an integral part of my identity.

Introducing my brother to ecigs

This is a guest post written by LadyStrick9, from Chesapeake, VA who often refers to herself as a “vapaholic”.

A few months ago my brother moved from Arizona to Virginia. He had gone through some major changes in his life and wanted his family close by. Part of me dreaded his moving because he was a smoker. I knew it would be difficult for me to be around someone who chain smoked. The last time he and I were together we both smoked heavily. We made plans and he arrived about three months ago.

My One Year Vapiversary

This is a guest post written by Morandir835, an e-cig enthusiast, admin on the Vapor4Life forum, and a regular on their ECF sub forum.

On December 23, 2011 I celebrated my one year vapiversary. Thanks to all the chaos going on around me, I wasn’t able to blog then as I had hoped. Now that everything has settled down, I figured it was time.

My New Favorites: Tanks and Vapor Titan Batteries

The Tanks

2012 is shaping up to be a great year! V4L has released many great new products. I have been in love with the new tanks since they came out. If you are new to vaping, you may be hesitant to try these. I suggest trying out flavors and pre-filled cartos before moving on to filling blank cartos with your own juice.

technical reviews because I don’t have that skill. I don’t know an amp from a mah or an ohm. People in the know tell me what they are and what they do, and go on about resistance and load and I nod and smile, my mind wandering. Actually, it’s not quite that bad, but I just have difficulty retaining what I have learned past the actual conversation at hand. Fortunately, I have knowledgeable friends that are very tolerant of my mental block. I have great respect for those with that talent, and am everlastingly grateful to them for their help.
