Yesterday, we held our third annual Trade-A-Pack event in honor of the Great American Smokeout. We had nearly 100 people come to check out our Smokeless Lounge and trade their pack of smokes for a free ecig kit.
The Great American Smokeout was created on November 18, 1976 by the California Division of the American Cancer Society. It takes place on the third Thursday of November. This year is our third hosting a free “trade-a-pack” event in our Smokeless Lounge. On Thursday, November 21, smokers are welcome to trade their pack of smokes for an ecigarette kit any time between 9:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. The kit includes a Vapor King battery, a cartomizer, and a USB Charger. Our Lounge will be open for one extra hour to accommodate those who can’t come until after work.
Vvrrrroooomm, vrooom! Are you a biker who lives near Chicago? If so you won’t want to miss our booth at the Highwood Bike Rally! This event takes place on the fourth Sunday of each month through September at The Toadstool Pub in Highwood, Illinois. Bikers and bike clubs from all over the Midwest are invited to celebrate the joy of motorcycle riding. The event supports Margaret’s House, an organization benefiting abused women. Guests will enjoy “bold biker bites”, beer, live blues music, and Poker run. A “Best of Bike” show will take place on the last Sunday where prizes will be awarded to “Best Paint Job”, “Best Chrome Job”, and “Best Decorated.” The first ever “Highwood Biker Betty” will also be crowned on this day. This biker babe will be the queen of bikers all around. The winner will be determined with the loudest motorcycle roars as contestants take the stage and proudly declare why they should be the first Biker Betty!
On Friday, Vapor4Life went to the second annual VapeBash, an ecig convention in Rosemont, Illinois. It was packed, with over 1,600 vapers in attendance! I heard the Windy City Vapers Club (who put on the event) actually ran out of name badges on the first day (now that is a good problem to have)! There were so many people there in fact, it was a little hard to hear, and almost hard to see people with all the vapor that hung in the air.
Vapor4Life just attended a Chicago street fest this past weekend. Oktoberfest took place Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in the Lakeview and Lincoln Park neighborhoods. Several people from Vapor4Life helped to explain electronic cigarettes to festival-goers including Bham (Brandon), Vicky, Bobby, Brian, Kevin, Joe, and Scott.
Join Vapor4Life as we celebrate Oktoberfest on the last weekend of this month! On the grounds of one of Chicago’s oldest churches, St. Alphonsus, this Oktoberfest rounds out Chicago’s outdoor festival season with bratwurst, beer, and German music. Organized in 1810 to celebrate the marriage of Prince Ludwig to Princess Therese of Saxe-Hildburghausen, Oktoberfest has been celebrated in Munich every fall since then (with the exception of 1813).
Things are heating up in Highwood this week in preparation for Inferno Fest – a myriad of the spiciest food and drinks ever. Anyone who appreciates the hotter things in life is invited to indulge in this fiery food experience. The event will feature a hottest food challenge, cooking demos, sampling of the hottest foods around, live music, and plenty of milk to cool the taste buds.

A couple weeks ago, a few of us from the Vapor4Life team went to a local event in the city of Chicago called the “Taste of Lincoln Avenue” in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood. This festival is huge and has been around for over 20 years so this was a big step for our three-year old company. It was a two-day event and both days were memorable.
