What: 2nd Annual Highwood Garlic Fest -  In conjunction with the Farmers Market

Where: 130 Highwood Ave. in Everts Park between Highwood Avenue and North Avenue (just west of Greenbay Road).

When: Wednesday, August 15, 2012 from 4-9pm

Garlic Queen Competition at 7pm

Tastiest Garlic Contest at 8pm

Why: This fun food filled event will showcase the ever-popular taste of Garlic, known for its culinary and medicinal purposes. Attendees will be introduced to all different food items made with garlic including ice cream, candy and baked goods, as well as traditional garlic recipes. This year will have even more competition for the best Savory Garlic Creation and the best Sweet Garlic Creation.
