Question about tanks
I'm wondering how hard it is to clean a tank, and when you have a tank, what do you need to re-purchase (i.e., is that a carto in the center of the tank?). How long do the cartos last? Will they work with passthrough batteries? Thanks in advance for your help!
Lol, those are alot of questions!! Let me see what I can help with....
I just cleaned my tank and I found it easy. I just disassembled the whole thing (it's only 2 caps and a plastic tube) and put it in a bowl full of boiling water. I swished it around and then dried it off with a paper towel. I'm sure there are different methods out there, but that's what I did. The only thing I know that you are not supposed to do is use any chemicals that will deteriorate the rubber o-rings. The carto I clean separate and I clean it the same as I do for all my cartos.
Well, I could only find this thread for the no using chemicals on tanks...
I don't see a link for simply cleaning cartos, I know we have one and it is loooooong!! Everyone has their own way of doing it! I suggest going to the linky list and checking out what's there:
You will eventually need to purchase replacement cartos for your tank.
Cartos last different amounts of time depending on several variables like: your vaping habits, keeping it moist, if you clean them regularly, type of juice, etc. There really is no set answer for this, but I think the decided on amount was 10-12 refills? 60ml of juice? I don't remember. Here is a good link for that: http://www.vapor4life.com/forum/t165-2/#post6760
SOME cartos will work with the PT. Here's a link for that: http://www.vapor4life.com/forum/t372/#post10036
I highly suggest going to the link list. There is a tank section and you can find all kinds of useful info there. Even things you didn't know you didn't know!!!
Special thanks to Lady and Kurora for the amazing list and Mr. Morandir for the info that the links lead to :D
Thanks SO much!!! I have no idea how to clean a cart so I need to look into that - however, it will have to wait until tomorrow b/c it's late and time to sign off. Again, thanks a bunch - you've been so helpful!
No problem :) Have a good night!
Hopefully someone will be able to link the carto cleaning thread for you.
Here's a post that might help regarding cleaning:
Also, a thread where SchwansMan made a spinner for the flanged tank cartos:
Sweet! Thanks Kurora!

Yes, I believe 60ml was the 'average' among most of the juices before a carto gets 'worn out'. I haven't kept detailed logs, but this feels very consistent with my experience so far (I've gone through about 30 replacement cartos; I don't clean them, I vape them till they clog/gurgle and replace). There's a detailed post somewhere by Mr Morandir on this very subject.
Thank you - that seems like the easiest way to do it!
