And welcome to our newest member, loans_UKas18.
Seems to me that this no longer falls into any "Forum Rules" regarding Posts or Replies. It's rather obvious what is going on here and an insult to the collective intelligence of the forum.
The forum should not be bound by it's own rules to not take swift action, last time I checked this forum is privately owned, as such it should ban whoever it deems fit whether the registered member has posted or not.
If a member registers for the sole purpose of placing Spam in their registration name, then adding their Spam-Marketing Ad Copy in their "About Me", followed by flooding the Birthday Announcements all in an effort to flood the board is beyond acceptable.
I ask the Mods to use their good judgement based on the registered Nic or any Ad-Copy placed in a registered member's "About Me" for the purpose of Spam and ban them immediately.
Clearly I have, yet again, missed something...
Look at the Main Forum Page Katz.....scroll down and look at the Birthday Announcements, Newest Member, then click on their Nick and open up their "About me". Observe they all share many things in common, including 0 posts or replies.
By editing their Birthdate daily, their Nick will appear under "Todays Birthdays".
Just ban them! They have no interest in vaping.
I get enough spam in my e-mail...I don't need it here as well:(
I agree 100%! I have been noticing this. More and more are registering!
It's bound to happen... Everywhere.

Only by understanding what they are doing can you start to counter their activities. Thankfully Vapor4Life has countered one of the main methods they use for backlinks by removing the ability for users to have links in their signature. By still allowing users to have links in their profile, they are able to use the Birthdays & Active Users feature of the forum to allow search engines to find their backlinks. Disabling the Birthdays and Active Users portion of the main page of the forum will prevent this. Then the only way for them to get their links out would be to make a post, which our forum users have been great at moderating. I deal with blackhat marketers daily and try to keep an eye on their forums so that I can attempt to stay on top of what they are doing. This helps me keep my clients away from these guys.
Ok, I'm done rambling now. I just wanted to inform some people of what these guys are doing and what they are trying to accomplish.
Great ideas. I hate the thought of people doing dishonest things. Someone ends up on the losing end of the deal.
