I'm basically a lurker on here, but I've been unable to find concrete info on my question.
I recently started using the Vapor4Life eGo after my OMG bit the dust. I'm loving it. The battery lasts all day and then some, and the TH is incredible. However, I am noticing that one of my favorite flavors, Caramel Mocha Frappe, appears to clog the mega carts within a day. The draw gets incredibly hard, and I can no longer see light through the wick tube.
I cannot put a paperclip through the tube, and I seemed to have partially dislodged the tube from the base (by about 1/16th of an inch, I stopped when I saw it move). I have boiled and dried the "test" cartomizer, and while the draw is much better (not on a batt yet, just a simple dry draw), I still cannot see through the tube, or push a paperclip through.
The cart still "works", verified by putting 5 - 10 drops in, and giving it a quick hit to verify that it creates vapor, but I'd like to learn a little more before filling it for regular use again.
- Clogging problem - I presume this is simply from carmelized sugars in the particular juice I'm using. It's a very sweet flavor, and very thick. Would distilled water help with this, and if so, at what ratio?
- The dislodged wick tube - Will this cause more leakage or flooding? I would presume it would, and I don't want to waste 3 Mls of juice only to see it leak all over my battery.
- No light in the tube, and cannot put a paperclip through easily - Is this a problem if the cart still draws fine and doesn't leak?
I'm thinking it might be toast, mainly because of the wick tube not sitting on the bottom of the cart, but I can't bring myself to throw a possibly good one away.
