    ego vs. titan xl

I'm looking to get another battery, the two I have just aren't enough. So far I have just used the standard size titans. I would like one with a little more battery life. Thinking of an xl, but also curious about the ego. Never tried one. How would the battery life of the ego be compared to that of an xl titan?
Also I recall reading somewhere on the old website that the ego is meant for people that like less throat hit or something like that? Is it weaker?

    Thanks!

    Hi Willow,

You most certainly want to move up to an Ego if you're looking for more battery life.

According to post #3 here (not sure whether this is Ashcap or OVK+):
    Battery Question
    Short .... 180 mAh
    Regular.. 280 mAh
    XL......... 380 mAh

If I recall correctly the EGOs are 900mah; as you can see, a little over double the life of an XL.

As to the TH, I don't have an EGO so cannot comment. I can't remember whether the V4L 808 Egos are regulated or not versus the Titan XL, so will need to wait for Mr Morandir or Sir Snowdragon to comment on that aspect (as well as some of the EGOmaniacs, I'm sure they'll chime in too LOL)

Having said that, welcome to the journey of chasing higher mah values! I have a fair pile of devices (and corresponding divot in my bank account) figuring out what worked best for me. I am currently using a device with a battery rated at about 2000mah (unmentionable, different vendor) and am finally able to get a full days' use out of a single device with my ultra-mega-chain-vaping habits

the ego will last hours longer than the XL...i have a ego from a different company (who shall remain nameless) so i can't speak for V4L's ego batts but on the one i have the TH is much less than the standard 808 & XL batts.

Hi Willow! I have several Egos and I like them. I am not, however, as "ego-manical" as some folks on here. I like that the batteries last a lot longer! But I've not had a great deal of success with the Mega Cartos. I finally figured out (with Morandir's help) that the juice I use probably gunks up the cartos and shortens the life.

Either way.....I have put my tanks on my Ego batteries. I don't seem to find that they're "that" much more powerful than my regular XL's, they just last longer. I get great results from my Titan XL's.

It's a matter of personal choice. They are certainly worth trying, I will tell you that. I'm glad I have mine.

Hi Willow! I thought that the throat hit on the Ego's was less than the Titan XL's, maybe that's just IMHO, other people swear by them. I also love all the pretty colors on the Titans, so what I did was hit a couple of the big V4L sales and got several Titan XL's with slim chargers and I always take 3-4 of them charged when I go out of the house, then I'm good for all day! I also use tanks so...even more battery drain going on here.

Hope this helps, you'll find what works for you!

So are we talking WAY less throat hit with the ego or would you say slightly less? The battery life is really tempting, but I sure do love the th and amount of vapor from the titans with a tank. Hmm...decisions, decisions.

I would say it's noticeable but not a big difference, no.

I'm thinking one of the members of the Ego-maniacs club will be around soon and can give you their

    Good luck and take care!
