Odd Problem with Tank and New Manual Battery

I just got a Tank (wooohooooo) and it's odd.... the Manual Battery won't work with it. However, the Manual Battery works with my regular Carts.

    Any ideas?

Also, second question.... I thought the carts that go in the tanks were just regular carts.... uhhhhh newbie tank user.

Where are the replacement carts for the Tanks as I don't want to need one and not have one. I ordered two extra cart boxes thinking that is what went in there.

Have to say though that I LOVE the tank idea.... This is going to definitely work for me, of course when I figure out why the battery wont work on it.

I did a "battery" of tests...lol... pun intended, and it really has me baffled (honestly, it doesn't take much).

    Hi Lisa,

What kind of manual battery do you have? Does the tip have 'ashes' a faceted 'diamond' (or is it a stealth?) Some batteries don't work well with the 1.5ohm dual coil carto that comes in the tank -- ashcaps not at all, and a tiny percentage of others.

The replacement carts are available here:
    | Vapor4Life
    or here:
    | Vapor4Life

Good luck, and let us know if we can be of further help.

@TheBlueAdept.... I thank you sincerely for your speedy response.

@V4L Sigh..... I ordered Manual Batteries for the Tank.... it said "Manual" Batteries worked best. The ones I have are the "ash cap" ones that light up when you use them. I waited all week to get my new stuff..... sad face here.

The Description (on the batteries I purchased) doesn't say anything about it Not working with the Tanks. See Text from Battery on Site.

Thank you Soooooo Much for the link on the Tank Cart.... Omg, I feel like an idiot not realizing that was it.

And one other note about the tank... It was super easy to fill... no problems at all, no leaking, no nadda... just a simple cool deal. Guess I'll just order different batteries for the tanks as I love manual batteries and will keep them for other carts.

Again, thanks for your help TheBlueAdept.

Sure thing, and no problem! They are making many changes to the site currently, hopefully they will update the information on carto/battery compatibility to avoid future confusion

I agree, the tanks are my favorite means of vaping right now, on all of my devices. Once you get the hang of them (quite easy), they are so simple to use and maintain!

I'm sorry that you'll need newer model batteries, but you'll hopefully be happy to note that they are improved versions with better performance and battery life.

Glad you got the tanks and they are working for you (kind of) and that you love them!! I think they are awesome! Looks like Blue has you all set to go! GJ Blue! Let us know if you need any more help Lisa

I do want to add that if you get the higher ohm single coil cartos (2 or 3ohm) they should work with your ash-cap batteries. And your PT if you have one. If you don't have one, I highly recommend getting one!

While tank carts are being talked about.. I got a question.... about how many refills on a tank should I go through before needing to put in a new cart?

Excellent info, and while it may have been stated somewhere else in the forums, I do appreciate all the help and also I echo the question above by Skoad regarding how many refills on a tank before a new cart is needed.

@Harmony.... when you talk about the PT (pass through?), are you saying I should be able to use it with the tank as it came to me? I am going to try the pass through with the tank..... OMG, what a SUPERB thing that would be... talk about having the best of both worlds! I have been using my tank anyway with a regular battery, (one of my originals) and I don't mind voiding a warranty because I plan to use the tank as much as possible.

For me... there is no other choice at this point (for the most part) and I am looking forward to mixing liquids etc etc and etc... wink wink.

Again, thanks all... good night and have a great weekend.

    Lisa

You can use the tanks with the PT, but you will need replacement cartos installed, preferably 2.5 or 3.0 ohm ones.

The amount of refills depends on the juice (sweeter juices shorten carto lifespans, for example), the temperature at which you vape (determined by voltage, chain vaping, etc.).

See post #25 here for some info on refills and tank carto lifespan.

Summary: It could be anywhere from 45ml to 96ml (and I've personally gotten less with some, but they are quite sweet fruit juices.)
