    Deep cycling and slim line

Have already touched on this subject a few times as can be seen here- Slim line/charging cycles info and here- Long term affects of USB and Old School Wall Adapter....

Which lead to this latest test of how many cycles you'll get from a king diamond or stealth with deep cycling and the slim line charger. These batteries were taken to the blink (or death in terms of the stealth) every time with wow cartos and heavily chain vaped when not being tested (at times the battery was ran down in as little as 35 minutes of use).

    Batt 1- King diamond shorty

    Starting voltage with 2.3ohm wow-

    4.19 (at start), 4.17 (9min), 4.15 (18min), 4.12 (27min), 4.07 (36min), 4.06 (45 min), 4.04 (54min), 4.01 (63min), 3.99 (72min), 3.96 (81min), 3.95 (90min), 3.93 (99min), 3.92 (108min), 3.87 (117min), 3.85 (126 min), 3.84 (135min), 3.71 (144min), 7 minutes later flashes.

    100 charges later-

    4.19 (at start), 4.17 (9min), 4.14 (18min), 4.12 (27min), 4.08 (36min), 4.06 (45 min), 4.04 (54min), 4.01 (63min), 3.99 (72min), 3.96 (81min), 3.95 (90min), 3.93 (99min), 3.92 (108min), 3.87 (117min), 3.84 (126 min), 3.82 (135min), 3.71 (144min), 5 minutes later blinks

After 173 charges noticed a loss in time, so on charge 174 did a voltage panel-

    4.19 (at start), 4.15 (9min), 4.13 (18min), 4.10 (27min), 4.04 (36min), 4.02 (45 min), 4.01 (54min), 3.97 (63min), 3.94 (72min), 3.91 (81min), 3.88 (90min), 3.85 (99min), 3.82 (108min), 3.74 (117min), 3 minutes later flashes.

Quite a drop from the 438 charges I've gotten out one without deep cycling....

Stealth auto with 2.3ohm wow carto-

    Shorty- 4.19 (at start), 4.18 (9min), 4.16 (18min), 4.13 (27min), 4.09 (36min), 4.08 (45 min), 4.05 (54min), 4.03 (63min), 4.01 (72min), 3.99 (81min), 3.97 (90min), 3.95 (99min), 3.93 (108min), 3.90 (117min), 3.87 (126 min), 3.85 (135min), 3.82 (144min), 3.76 (153min), 6 minutes later stopped producing vapor.

    After 100 charges-

    4.19 (at start), 4.17 (9min), 4.15 (18min), 4.13 (27min), 4.09 (36min), 4.08 (45 min), 4.05 (54min), 4.03 (63min), 4.01 (72min), 3.99 (81min), 3.97 (90min), 3.95 (99min), 3.93 (108min), 3.90 (117min), 3.87 (126 min), 3.85 (135min), 3.82 (144min), 3.75 (153min), 5 minutes later stopped producing vapor.

After charge 184 noticed a drop off in run time, so charge 185 did a panel-

    Shorty- 4.19 (at start), 4.16 (9min), 4.12 (18min), 4.08 (27min), 4.06 (36min), 4.03 (45 min), 4.01 (54min), 3.99 (63min), 3.97 (72min), 3.95 (81min), 3.93 (90min), 3.91 (99min), 3.87 (108min), 3.83 (117min), 3.79 (126 min), 3.71 (135min), 3 minutes later stopped producing vapor.

Again a major difference between deep cycling them and not......

Another wonderful testing report Morandir *sir*. You have always convinced me not to deep cycle my batteries. Although sometimes, I get forgetful and can't figure out why it is dead! I do keep about 5 in constant rotation and charge them every night. Therefore, I need to get the most use out of them possible.

Thanks so much! I try to avoid Deep Cycling as much as possible but will occasionally forget, especially when I'm out and about...

I do it all the time. I get so mad at myself! You would think I could tell the difference between a weakening battery and a carto needing to be topped off by now, wouldn't you? Pffffft! LOL

Ive only been at it for a month(come the 13th) but have been trying to avoid this.. Yet it happens so much. I know I can tell when the battery is getting weak but then the next drag will be fine and my mind then overlooks it.. then next thing I know... blink blink blink blink blink

Congrats on your almost month vaperversary!!!!

I think when a battery is really working good and you don't want to give it up.... we do tend to overlook the issue (even if it gives us hints). I will just be vaping away and then.... down and out for the count. I really do need to learn to pay more attention!

Thank you for the information Morandir sir

I also have a hard time with this. I can tell when a bettery is getting weak and I rarely vape them to blinking, but a few times I have accidently hit the button while putting them away and it seems that I'm very good at noticing the drop off one click before blinking. This probably defeats the whole purpose of stopping "early" lol! Not to mention I'm sure the button gets hit a couple times while I'm carrying them around, so by the time I put them on the charger they have already reached deep cycling point.

Despite 2 years of experience, I still can't. The only way I avoid deep cycling is to actually measure battery voltage manually LOL
