    Titan Manual

ok I'm posting a couple separate threads because I also had waiting for me a Titan manual. All I can say is that it is night and day better than the auto. Now I am not sure what I will do with the auto. I wish I didn't follow the initial website splash about the starter kit as it only lets you get the auto. I suppose theres a possibility I have a defective one but not sure about that.

As for the slim manual...it rocks!!!! Nice throat hit, warmth, and flavor!

I have one question though....does anyone know if there is a way to turn the battery off? Don't want to stick it in a shirt or pants pocket and accidentally depress the button. I learned the EGO is a button push 5 times and it turns off but I only learned that because someone told me. Anyone know about turning off the Titan?

    No instructions with these things.

BMB sir the only batteries with turn off abilities are egos or mods. There's really no point putting them on a small batt.

Morandir sir....there is a point which would be to prevent an accidental button push and hold in a pocket or purse....regardless of battery size. Why is there no point in your opinion?

However I really do like this battery and will use it regularly.

There's a few BMB sir. The shut off function was added to egos and mods not so much as to prevent accidental firing, but to prevent the battery from overheating and going boom. The small batts aren't going to go thermal in the same way as a big batt, so it was never added to any small batt on the market. It would be another logic chip to add to the already crowded small pcbs of the cig style batts. The 10.3 second cut off (on avg) of the manual king diamonds (vt and non-vt) is enough where it won't get the carto so hot as to cause damage unless you are somehow constantly having it pressed for 10 seconds, released, held another 10 seconds, and so on.

also BMB i found using something like a glasses hard case works great for storing your batts when not in use

So there is a feature where it will at least cut-off after a long hold. Whats the principle of the cut-off? A simple load issue where the batt drops below needed output to fire the cart? This is better than nothing though I would suggest if thats the case than a continuous push over some time will simply kill the batt as in a deep cycle. Any rechargable lithium technology has the potential to run-away. The outcome may be different but the potential is the same. Different types have different failure modes but they all fail in some manner when abused, some more violent than others.

I'm a noob to vaping but have 30 years of ruining batteries in RC Aircraft. When we started using Lithium in the late 90's they were lithium-metal and extremely dangerous without proper chargers and cut-off management. I believe they are now off the market in fact but they had serious capacity and C potential. todays lipo, li-on, LiFeP, etc are alot more stable with built in protection.

What technology do we have in V4L?

I think the biggest thing to your point is fitting in yet another pcb in the slim is most difficult issue

    Thanks again Morandir sir!

The king diamond (VT and non VT) use high drain batteries BMB sir. The cutoff is designed to prevent battery overheating not to mention carto overheating. On the old style batts if you hit the cut off enough times in a row you would have to place them on the charger to reactivate them. While yes all lithium based batts can go runaway, what happens when they go runaway is different.
