I was at a memorial service this weekend & I was vaping outside. Of course, a couple people asked me questions about it as they were curious & I was happy to answer anyone's questions. I'm always happy to answer questions or give anyone a Vapor4Life business card, etc. These things have been a miracle for me. Anyways, what I came here to share was this old guy (no offense to anyone out there...I'm 26 so most people seem old to me....but the guy was like my grandparents ages) comes up to me and says "You know, that thing is bad for you. It's a gateway that will lead to other bad drugs." I had to have had the most puzzled look on my face, because I expected to take crap from people about vaping, especially ignorant people, but I NEVER expected to hear something as CRAZY as that. I looked at him with my puzzled look for a moment trying to figure out if he was serious or not, because I didn't know this guy at all. Then I replied, "It's an electronic cigarette, you know? It's a heck of a lot different than the 1/2 - 1 pack a day of cigarettes I was smoking & I highly doubt this is going to be any kind of gateway to any recreational drugs at this point in my life." Then my mother, who was sitting next to me & is so very proud of me for switching from the analogues told him to leave me alone. I'm still in dismay a few days later at this guy!
So, what kind of crazy comments have you all had to deal with other than just being told not to vape in public places?
