I am not vegetarian, just love tofu! I also love beef, chicken and pork yum!! Lol, I am Texan born and raised. I think my family would disown me if I went vegetarian! they have a hard enough time dealing with my love for tofu.

I bet! I'm on a weird diet and when I go to family functions I have to fudge a bit, or just starve...they don't let family starve in these parts. I tried to eat a salad at my last family gathering...what's that taste...oh?...bacon? In the salad? Of course! Silly me!

She eats no animal meat or by-products (no eggs, milk, cheese, etc)
Ah, thanks for the clarification Lady!
You are all so extravagant!!! My lunch/dinner was a can of split pea soup over rice....hehe.....nice and easy today!!!! Last night was London Broil on the grill.......cooked medium rare.....So delish!!
Baking potatoes on the grill as we speak.... locally raised, grass-fed, pasture finished (happy cattle) sirloins to follow. Salad and probably grilled peppers. All for my valentine with some Malbec wine. It's 64F and sunny here now.
P.S. We adopted our 8-month-long foster dog today. She's about 18 months old, about half Boxer, quarter Shar-Pei, quarter unknown, and 100% adorable! :D "Foster-Failure #2"
P.P.S. Sasha (and anyone else in AUS, SAN or DFW) - I got my first order from greenling.com for Whole-Foods type stuff do your door. My sister in AUS uses them. Very cool, check it out.
Congrats on your dog adopting you! :D We can only have one dog in our condo or else I would get another. People who agree to foster animals are a rare incredible breed. Moving on to adoption is an amazing next step. Happy day for your family and your pup. Maybe she can get a bit of that sirloin off the grill in celebration! :D
I'm eating a hot bowl of chili which I made Sunday...it's always better after is sits in the fridge.
Plarkin....I'm not too good a fostering, they always seem to stay. I'm thinking of another dog, so Twinkle has a new buddy, but I can't just yet..that wound is too fresh :(
Congrats to you, though, for the permanent addition :D
Just pulled a brisket out of the slow cooker, delicious!
Tonight I marinate the chicken for tomorrow's dinner: Chili Lime Drumsticks [linky]
For some reason, I always get on a cooking kick when hubby's out working on his 1-2 week rig, poor guy's missin all the good eats!
Gratz on your new pooch, plarkinjr. I love that people have a heart for saving animals...kudos.
