Hello, all. I opened up a "support ticket" last week, but I haven't gotten a response, so I figure that they're very busy with these tickets, and that I might want to pose this dilemma to the brethren (and sisteren) on the forums. I'm a long-time "lurker," as the kiddies say, but I've never posted before. Thanks for any thoughts on this issue.
Hello. I hope that this is the contact method for asking about cartomizer/battery technicalities, or I'm merely bugging you! In that case, please inform me about how else I might go about getting help with this issue.
I've been a Vapor4Life customer for at least a year; I prefer your flavors to any others. I tried V2, but found that too many pre-filled cartomizers arrived burnt out. Your attention to quality control is the primary reason for my continued patronage, so thanks for the consistently full carts!
My problem is that most of the time, I get a very weak draw. There seems to be a lot of air between the battery contact and the cartomizer. I've stopped ordering 555 and Virginia because of this problem, in spite of those being two of my favorite flavors.
I've stuck with Cubans since then (these are all Cool Carts -- I don't want to shorten the lives of my batteries with the WOW carts), but even the latest Cubans I've received don't quite seem to make enough contact, or perhaps form a tight enough seal, to get a strong draw.
About 1 in 5 works well, so I know that my batteries are capable of giving me strong draws, when tight contact is made. Some of the cart ends are "further in" than others, meaning that they can't quite reach the battery contacts. I tighten them as much as I can. I don't do this during recharging, however, because I don't want to push the battery post in.
If this is a lapse in Vapor4Life's consistency, it's a shame. I don't feel like experimenting with other companies again. I'm writing to you in the hopes that there's something I can try that I haven't thought of.
(I put that in boldface because I'm not sure my actual question was clear in the "ticket"!)
I have a Vapor4Life manual Vapor Titan and a Vapor4Life Vapor King. These are both quite new batteries. I keep them clean with alcohol, paper clips and Q-Tips. I charge them each for 3 hours, just to make sure the charge is at its strongest. I occasionally use a paper clip to pull out the battery post a bit, just to make sure it's sticking out enough.
Regardless of all of this, the cartomizers themselves don't seem to have their middles extended enough to make tight contact with the ends of the batteries -- or perhaps they're just built with too much space between the cart-ends and the battery contacts.
This is discouraging, as I've been trying very hard to completely stop smoking real cigarettes. But for each drag on a cartomizer, I have to inhale for nearly ten seconds before I even feel that I've gotten a full hit. The reason real cigarettes are still tempting is that I (obviously) get a strong drag each time.
This has only occurred within the past three or four months. I used to get consistently strong draws with Vapor4Life products. I like prefills; I don't want to switch to dripping the juice into some tank, etc.
Thanks so much for your time. I appreciate it!
