eGo battery 3 blinks
First of all, sorry if this is redundant, but I did a search in the forum and I was not able to find this issue:
Brand new eGo Kit with 1 battery, used for 2 days (charged only once) and I think it worked fine, as expected.
Last night at about 10:00 I put it to charge and this morning at 6:30 the led was still red (charging) so I left it until next opportunity (11:00) when it was finally green!
So I start using it with the Mega Carto and after a couple of draws I noticed the button blinks 3 times.
What that means?
What I did? I used the 5 clicks to lock the battery and then another 5 clicks to unlock it and since then I'm watching the blinking but so far none of them appeared again.
Still, I'm a bit concerned about that 3 blinks (which may indicate a short circuit) and the fact that charging took more than 8 hours.
Thanks for you attention.
Wow that is strange I have never heard something like that happen before. You might have a bad battery or charger, but I'm not sure. Hold on though! Some should be by shortly to answer your question.
Jotte, the button will blink 3 times when the 5 click turn feature is activated/deactivated..that's normal..it is also normal for a new ego to take a long time to charge, when I first got mine they averaged 10+ hours to charge.. once you "break it in" the charging time should decrease a little...mine still takes 8 hours or so to charge ... hope this helps:)
I'm sorry, i was not clear: it blinked 3 times BEFORE I activated the turn on/off feature! Nothing related to that one, I repeat, while vaping it blinked 3 times. And happened again (only once) since my first message.

Maybe it has a cutoff time? Let me check mine real quick.
Well darnit. I don't have mine with me. If anyone has one, can you hold the button down (preferably without a carto/tank attached) and see if it has a cutoff? I'm sure it does. Most ecigs do. It's a safety feature. It just cuts off after an extended period of time (10-15 sec.). Don't worry about it Jotte, it's totally normal.
The cutoff time is 12 seconds I believe
Thank you sir :)
And it blinked 3 times when it cut off?
ahhh!! Mine cuts off and blinks after 8 seconds.. I guess I have never taken a draw that long... Harmony, you so smart!! ;)
