Hey thanks Rocco!
Hey thanks Rocco!
Thanks, everyone! Those particular ones don't fit Egos, which is the only batt I use, but I bet someone out there sells them for Egos. Like I said earlier, I do have some high quality vinyl I could wrap it in, which is pretty much the same idea (except it wouldn't have the designs). i was just concerned about covering up the vent holes, but Morandir got that answered for me. I'm sure I will come up with something soon & post pics (if I don't end up purchasing something from another vendor obviously...wouldn't want to break any rules!). My poor Egos are getting really scratched up, but if I don't use the lanyard, then I lose them...so it is a lose, lose situation here. Next time around, I will find a more protective type lanyard.
I have been crocheting some lanyards while here in Austin at my daughter's house. That is after the 3 YO goes to sleep, lol. I had one almost finished and my dog snagged the yarn and ran through the house. She unraveled almost the entire thing. I laughed but was not real happy :dog:
It covers the ego so it doesn't get scratched, and works great for my daughter on crutches.
Oh no Granny!! I couldn't help but laugh too
http://i1184.photobucket.com/albums/...ppingTable.gif that is so not funny http://i1184.photobucket.com/albums/...ppingTable.gif. Really, I'd be annoyed if it happened to me, so you have my condolences http://i1184.photobucket.com/albums/...ppingTable.gif
Naughty Harmony, how could you laugh? http://i1184.photobucket.com/albums/...20etc/nono.gif
Well, the crochet hook was snatched out of my hand, hit the ceiling, and ended up under the ottoman. After 10 mins of hunting to find it, things did get a bit funnier. It would have been far funnier to just watch it than to participate in it.
Obviously, we are all laughing WITH you, not at you, Granny. http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/g...miley/ROFL.gif
Granny - That is totally something that would happen to me OR my cat would grab onto the yarn & play tug of war with it - mind you he is a 16lbs (he is just a big cat, not fat - so he is strong), so tug of war is really a game of tug of war, not just a cute cat batting string around! Right now his fave thing to do is to sit ON my cross stitching while I am stitching it OR if I have it in my quilting hoop (so I don't have to hold it because I have pain/nerve issues in my arms) he will hide under the thing like a tent & grab onto the threads from underneath while I am stitching. I think he really thinks he is helping, but he SOOOO isn't! My hubby really needs to get on my craft desk in our basement so I have a place where the animals aren't allowed to work on my crafts.
I am not sure, but I think my better half mentioned using brush plating kits, such as those made by Caswell, on scratched cases, batteries, and cartos. Umm... caswellplating.com, I think it is.. That might be what you were thinking of. He uses such for a LOT of things. And it would not be so heavy to clog the breather holes.
And before you think such is too complicated, mine little ones did easter eggs this way, waxing, carbon dusting, then plating the egg. Permanent mothers memories.
of the Librum.
Thanks Sarah, I'll check that out.
