For my BD, my partner got me an OMG VV –*the deal that comes with two tanks and two juices. Yes, she's a keeper. But that's not the point of my post.
Plus side: The OMG VV, once you get used to it and adjust the settings, produces exactly the kind of vapor I like, and the big tanks [imho] work much better than the smaller ones. The device looks cool, kind of like something from Men In Black. Been tempted to done Raybans and tell people to look into the tiny screen, etc.
just in the past 24 hours, however, it's developed a strange behavior related to that tiny screen. First, it refused to show at all, immediately after I put the fully charged battery in it. It produced vapor just fine, but no screen display. I figured out that even the variable voltage (VV) feature was working, by guessing how long to press which buttons despite the lack of the display – and the vapor increased just the way it should. So, after vaping "blind" for a few hours, I put the battery back on the charger, gave it a decent amount of time, and tried again.
This time, the screen worked, but it looks odd – more pixilated. It's readable, but it's not clear, and there are spurious little bars appearing on the tiny battery icon. If any of you have played Minecraft and know how 8-bit chunky graphics look.... it's like that.
More info: I have had zero problems with tank leakage, likewise no problems with vapor production. The unit has not been dropped or mistreated – I mean, heck, I've only had it for about 8 days. I recharge the battery when it's reading about 50% gone – which is usually after a full day of on-demand vaping (these batteries really can work ALL day). Everything has been great... except for this mystery screen display issue that just cropped up today. I tried to take a pic of it with my phone, but the screen is so tiny that the resulting pic doesn't really show the problem well.
Any ideas, anyone?
