Menthol tank vaporers
I recently switched from carts to tanks and so far I ❤ them!! I have only tried to juices so far and have found the menthol flavor to be a little overpowering. Is there anyway to get more of a tabacco flavor? I currently have the WOW traditional menthol and the WOW Kant flavored and I prefer the Kant but the menthol is still a bit strong. Does any mix these with the regular tabacco flavored to avoid this issue??
Short answer: Definitely yes.
Longer answer: Mixing juices is part of the fun of vaping - in my opinion. I like to cook and am constantly tweaking food recipes. Why would I not do the same with my e-juices? Right?
Remember when Jelly Belly jelly beans were new and hot? Ok, maybe not if you're young, but it was in the 80's. The big deal wasn't just the flavors, which were more intense than other jelly beans, but that they encouraged us to mix and match jelly beans to create new flavors in our mouths. To this day, they still have charts on the packaging to suggest flavor combinations.
The same is true of e-juices. And, like Jelly Bellies, you will quickly find out that some flavors are subtle while others are overpowering. For example, I find that menthols and mints tend to be strong, while fruits and the like are less so. Cinnamon is more intense, while coffee flavors are less. Therefore, it's a process of experimentation to see what works best with what.
Another factor that impacts the flavor profile (called FP here -- if you would like a copy of my guide to vaper-speak, drop me a line in PM and I'll send you one) is the quantity of nicotine. The nic adds a peppery taste that's more obvious as the quantity rises. So a 36 mg juice will be more affected by it than an 11 or 8 mg juice. You can mix juices that contain differing nicotine amounts, but just keep in mind that the overall nicotine level will reflect how much of each is added.
Tests show that certain juice flavors seem to be more likely to clog carto's than others. I don't mean clog like a drain, but just that you may find yourself cleaning your carto's more often if you use, for example, menthols than if you use fruit flavors. There's info about juices and flavors here on the Forum, so look around for those articles to learn more. And yes, you can clean out your carto's and re-use them.
Final note for this answer: It's cheaper to replace the internal carto of a tank than to replace the whole tank. In fact, it's almost never necessary to replace the whole tank - just the carto. You can order tank carto's for $2.95 each. I buy them in boxes of five, and if I have a tank that gives me trouble, I just switch out the carto instead of side-lining the whole tank.

Welcome to the forums SheetsofHeaven. I hear that a lot from people that make the change from carts to tanks. That it's great! Though I haven't tried tanks... yet. :)
Sure you can mix the juices, you might appreciate your menthol more if it's currently too strong. I say, give it a go. Have a great day!
+1 to all of Willard's post. I was quite fond of Jelly Belly's myself, but my teeth weren't. Mixing can be quite fun, but you might want to get a pack of blank cartos to help with your experiments.
And to Willard's point, certain juices do clog tank cartos much more quickly. One of my favorite mixes causes clogging around every third fill on my 6 mL tank, where WoW coffee can withstand about 6 fills before needing a change (dependent on the carto and vaping habits).
Thank you so much for all the helpful info! I am also a huge fan of the jelly belly....a totally underrated candy in my opinion!! I would appreciate any info you have that would making navigating through the forum easier!
You mentioned bad or clogged cartos being an issue, how do you know when that happens?? And do you clean them by boiling them?
Boil? No. At least, I don't. For a video created by someone who really knows their stuff, click on this link.
The video is a bit long, but you'll learn a lot about carto's and how to clean them. There may be others, but that's the video that taught me how, using stuff you have around the house.
I boiled my cartos once and killed them all, so I don't recommend that method.
+1 to the video Willard posted. I've used that method for several years now and it works great for me. The only thing I changed is that I don't like putting my cartos inside the baster. I removed the rubber grip off of a pen and attached it to the end of the baster and then put the carto onto the grip. I found that it works best to attach it at the mouthpiece and suck the water through the threaded end. I tried it the other way around and it didn't clean them as well.
The best way to navigate the forum? Probably the easiest way is to just pick a subforum and create a new thread. Being new it can be difficult to find exactly what you're looking for. If you don't know where to post, you can always just start a thread in the New Members section. Or you can just keep replying to this thread. Someone should see it and be able to help you.
Thanks for the tip Harmony. I was going to try the boiling method but I think I'll try the baster instead.
Oh and I still love the jelly bellies. Except the coffee flavored ones. Uugg, hate it when I accidently pop one of those into my mouth!
