Got my first kit the week before Christmas.
Never "looked back" since.
Like to share my journey and lessons learned for those who are even newer than me.
Nothing I say here is negative to Vapor4Life or the tastes/preferences of others--just my thoughts.
After 50 years of analogs, I did my research and decided to give vaping a chance.
I ordered one of the starter kits with a pair of auto batteries and an auto pass-through.
LOVED the vape, but did not care for the little auto's.
Tight draw and short bat life for me.
So--I bought a pair of Titan Manuals and a manual pass-through.
Much better batteries, but grew tired of maintaining the cartos.
I even bought the spin drier thingie from elsewhere and it is awesome, but still a PITA to keep up with the cartos.
Plus, I really could not keep track of what flavor was in them as I tried new flavors.
I thought the tanks looked "clunky", but decided to give them a try.---WOW!
Bought a couple of 3.5's and now have 4 with a supply of cartos for them in 2 different OHM ratings.
With the 3.5 tanks, the Titan bat life now became "marginal", but manageable.
"What the Heck"--bought a DAV 1100.
It matches up perfectly with the 3.5 tank, lasts all day, feels good, and delivers just the amount of power I want!
So, bought a second DAV XL 1100 :)
On the DAVs, it seems that they need a really good overnight charge to get going. And after that, a while to re-charge. But, they are high capacity bats, so to be expected.
Flavors--a whole different voyage.
I was a Menthol smoker and have tried all of the menthol and "mint" flavors.
Frankly, I see little difference in many of them after the "newness to me" wears off.
I have combined the remnants of several 30 ML bottles and it works just fine.
I am branching out into other flavors.
Looking at some fruit and berry flavors coming up.
But "it is all good" on the flavors and time will tell.
So for now:
Manual pass through at home by the computer (powered by AC/USB).
Auto pass through with the cig lighter plug in the truck (just in case).
2 manual DAV 1100s w/tanks for when I am away backed up by 2 manual Titan's.
2 3.5 Tanks in a container as spares while I am away.
Small "Tackle Box" with juices, cartos, and supplies to include some blunt tip hypos to fill new cartos, pipe cleaners for the drip tips, and other "stuff" we all love to have!
I have a 46 y/o daughter who is a light smoker.
Gonna send her all of my "entry level" supplies to see what she thinks.
Looking back, everything I have learned is available on-line both on the main site and here on the forum.
But, it is in bits and pieces and takes time to "put together" for some of us.
Plus, everyone's needs/preferences are different.
I know one of the senior members here is working on a guide, but this will be a MONUMENTAL task to take to completion!!!
I thank him for that!!!!!!!
Enough for now--Gotta watch my NASCAR race!
