Tanks sundenly flooding
I have four tanks filled right now. Have been filled for a couple of days. Two of them have out of nowhere started flooding. I clean them up, blow them out, and use a qtip to mop up the top of the ployfill. Take 3 or 4 hits and they are flooded again.

Have you changed the way you puff on them? When I get over zealous and draw too hard, I've flooded the tank.
You don't leave them vertical for too long do you?
You could be over-saturating them with your draws like Rob suggested.
Are you using Vapor4Life juices in them? Which ones?
I have not been drawing hard on them. If anything I have tried to draw easier and slower since they started flooding.
Yes Vapor4Life juices. 555 and WOWBoy are the ones flooding.
It is wierd they were fine this morning then bam just started flooding. I haven't refilled them or changed the carto.
My other two tanks are fine on the same device.
TMS sir how many ml's have you gone through on these tanks?
About 10ml of WOWBoy and 15ml of 555.
The WOWBoy has a SC 2.0 and the 555 has a DC 2.0
I think it might be the adapter. I am going to order one with my next shipment
My wife has had the same experience with some of her tank cartos, most recently was early this week. The first couple of times I tried soaking them in 100 proof spirits for a couple of hours and then rinsing them in hot water using the "turkey baster method". They still flooded so we swapped out the carto for a new one. I then got curios and went after them with my dremel tool. (yes, I keep all the used or dead cartos. I have them in a Plano fishing tackle box and sorted by probable cause of failure...) Regardless of the length of time the carto had been used or amount of fluid put through it; in each case of a "suddenly flooding carto" there was one of two causes I could determine:
1) the wicking tube had separated from the bottom post effectively breaking the seal at the bottom of the carto
2) burn through on the wicking material.
Bottom line--IMHO a suddenly leaking carto is dead and requires replacement.
Mad Scientist, my experiences and conclusions are exactly the same as Darin's. I am a bit, er, retentive, so I post mortem each cart to be sure it looked as sick/dead as it acted, and the wicks were always compromised, even when the polyfill looked okay.
I just replaced the carto in the WOWBoy tank. Suprise suprise no more flooding. I am getting low on cartos though. Time for another order, it has ONLY been 10 days.:D
Glad the new one is working TMS!!
If you run into this problem again I have a few more questions.
Does the carto flange sit flush in the end cap of your tank? If it sticks out then the issue might be not enough airflow. I had one tank that had that issue and every time I used it on my Ego it would flood. Very frustrating. I thought it was a problem with the carto, but it turned out that the tank end cap wasn't cut deep enough for the flange to sit in. It worked fine on my stick batts, but the Ego doesn't have as much airflow so that's when I would run into issues. If you are using an adapter then that might be restricting the airflow enough to cause issues.
