I just discovered something that I've never seen discussed. I am not exactly an expert on adapters. When I first started vaping with Vapor4Life (2 years ago) I bought adapters from another company and it was not a good experience. I decided adapters didn't work and so I didn't use them again until recently. This time it has been a much better experience and I use them on a daily basis. However, I just started having some issues while using them on my auto DAVs. I've been successfully using this setup for about a month now, so I know something has changed. Both DAVs were having the same issue, I had to pull extremely hard or crank the voltage up higher in order to get any vapor. This was very frustrating, especially since higher voltages were burning my clearos. Now, this might have something to do with the clearo that I've been using for about 3.5 weeks now, but I just did something that solved my issues, so I wanted to share.
First thing I tried was to raise the post on the DAV. I'm sure I probably shouldn't do that but I wanted vapor, so I tried it. That helped on my 650 but didn't seem to make a difference on my 1100. Which I thought was weird. I tried raising the post on the adapter but that didn't seem to help either. I cleaned all of the connections, no difference. Then it happened. I took the adapter off the clearo and noticed that it was able to screw onto the battery further. So I screwed it all the way down on the battery and then attached the clearo. It works now!!!
So I have a question....is this common knowledge? Is that how adapters are supposed to work? Put it on the battery and then attach the carto/clearo? I've never seen any instructions on how to properly use an adapter, but then again it's kind of straight forward. It would be nice to know in order to possibly help other people out when they are having issues.
I will attach pictures in a second.
