"If you are new, this is a good place to start. There is tons of great info for those new to Vapor4Life and the Vapor4Life Forum."
K...maybe I can move on from this particular area of "Ye Olde Vapor4Life Forum" in the near future...just sayin'...
Day one: Overjoyed!!! Plug 'n play...puffed away...little boxes to open and new things to try...like a kid in that proverbial candy store...HOWEVER...
Day 1 1/2...WOWs vs. cool carts...hmmm...thinking I'm glad I ordered more of the former than the latter...at least as far as the actual taste ("throat hit") comparison goes as it concerns those "old, nasty, stingy things" (just quoting the lady o' the house)...and we won't even discuss the slight sizzle effect...just kinda gave me a flashback to some younger 'n dumber days...
Day 2: Began w/ WOW carto before rolling out of bed...cough, cough...note to self "hmmm...maybe them cool cart thingys are the way to start the day"...back to sleep for a bit more...oh crap...hafta wake up enough to switch cartos...pretend to snooze a wee bit more...ahhhh...cool carts might just be the ticket for the early morn' drags...different configurations for different moments of the day...albeit still in the first 24 hrs. or so...
Day 2 1/2: First venture away from the bat cave...took both classic XLs (fully charged of course) and couple of spare cartos...only like a half day adventure so no biggie, right??? WRONG!!! So outta fear of running my pre-filled cartos dry (of which I purchased 25), I hastily switched 'cuz I just wasn't getting what felt or sounded like a good hit...anyways...still had a few backup analogs:wtf:so I didn't completely go into panic mode...
Day 2 3/4: WHEW!!! Home...back to my passthru and fresh carto...immediately connected the two sticks to corresponding chargers...one USB, one wall...(K, here's the slightly humorous part)...
Upon arrival of my purchase, had read where as a general rule, batts would have a usable charge, however, as much as I love to read I don't always trust what I read and being the diligent NOOB, began to charge both battery sticks whilst I employed my thethered device. BUT...immediately upon connection, both chargers gave me a green light so I'm thinkin' "COOL...fully charged"...and of course, Mr. Diligence assumes he is topping off both batteries before his first public adventure...and "VOILA"!!!, green lights again...damn...didn't use that much battery life on the evening of Day 1...But, wrapping up the 2nd day, more cartos @ home, and of course the aforementioned immediate battery charging...DAMN!!! Still green lights...(and here is where more reading came into play), due to my fear of overtightening and stripping threads, I quickly learned that I had never sufficiently tightened them to fully charge at all...sez to self "DUMBA**"...
Day 3: Awake w/ cool cart...good call...have my partially(?) used cartos ready to refill (another story for another day) with all accompanying video links from here and still loving my hookah-resembling, tethered device as I have it in hand as I deliver this update. So...again...thank you all, and PEACE/OUT!!!
BTW...what's really pretty cool is that in my brief absence, I now have as many "likes" as I have given...hmmm...kharma???:fish:
That is what I call play by play! Thanks for the update Fish!!
Just a note though, if you use a partially used carto on a fresh batt is could burn it. It might taste fine on a dying batt, but once you put it on a fresh one, instant burn! So just be aware of that. Eventually you will get a feel for how long you can vape on them before needing to top off or switch cartos, and burned cartos happen.
It looks like you're figuring things out nicely though, keep it up
LOL... Fish... I can totally relate to all of that! Been there, done that! There is nothing worse than the fear of taking just one or two cartos out with you for the day and then finding out one is a dud! I always make sure I have an entire box in my vape kit before I leave. However, now I hardly find myself using cartos anymore... I pretty much keep them for when someone wants to try it out, then I make sure I have brand new cartos to give them (and pray they have the wonderful snap, crackle and pop). Some just don't and it is a disappointing experience.
I just went through the charging thingie last night. Popped my auto DAV on the charger after swearing I had used it and needed to top it off. It just sat there with the green light on. I know even a few puffs will make it go red for a few minutes, so I can't figure it out. I know the charger is working, cause I tried it with another battery... so it is either me going crazy and forgetting which battery is due for a charge, or something is very wrong. I am using the battery now, so I can try it once again. This is the first time this has ever happened to me, so I am voting for the fact I am just a little crazy or sleep deprived... LOL
Keep the updates coming and enjoy the ride!!
Edited to update: This reminded me to try to put the auto DAV on the charger again and it immediately went red! So this sleep deprived woman just needs to keep better track of what battery is due for a charging. See even us "old timers" can mess up!!
Great stuff FOW & Mystic! Been there, done that ;)
Hosed myself so bad once, I'm now paranoid. Lol!
The nice thing about all of this is, I started paying very close attention. One of the great features of Vapor4Life products, is that they will "blink" at you a few times when they're put on the chargers (I don't have any stealth batts, so maybe that's an exception). I watch for the blinky's like a hawk when I put one of the charger ;)
The DAVs don't blink......so you need to be smarter than the battery....which I obviously wasn't last night... LOL...... but good thing for you to keep in mind Fish. Thanks for the heads up Ky Rob
:DSuch good data...and all I have to do is keep showing up...and ask (occasionally)...and live vicariously thru other threads...as for all those nasty charging issues, well...all I can add is "may the force of charged particles be with us"...:starwars:
Ahhhh...Oh MysticOne...as one much wiser than I once imparted to me "you have to be smarter than the equipment you are working with." Hence, my semi-retirement...:fish:

You are correct Ky_Rob (just had to try them out again to be sure, and my manual flashed). However, on the auto, there is no LED light (at the button) to flash. If it is somewhat discharged, the charger light will flash from green to red (very briefly), however I was trying to charge a fully charged battery and it does not flash, it immediately goes green and stays green, which was my indication that something wasn't right (because I had never seen it do that before, the charger always flashed, just not the battery). So if we have not just now totally confused FISH, we need to work harder at it!
