Well I hit for the cycle this evening. My friends from Florida arrived yesterday and we got together with a few old friends for a barbeque. While I was sitting with them giving a quick primer on vaping a few other folks wandered over to see what we were doing and figure out where the cloud was coming from. Well after about an hour of questions and passing around my various devices and swapping out 8 different flavors in tanks and 4 different sampler packs of carts, I barely made it out of there with my OMG AD. Auto DAV, gone...Large Auto Zeus, gone...VT xl manuel, gone... VT xl auto gone...3 Smileomizers, gone...20 cool carts, gone...3 wall chargers, gone. I even had to run out to the car to get my passthru for one of the girls. So it ended up being a mini vape meet.
Now as I sit here in the wee hours of the morning typing this I have a peaceful feeling, happily knowing that I might have made a difference but sadly missing my much loved devices. I know they will have a good life with their new vapers but I will remember the joy that they brought me. Besides, I still have my OMG AD and as I've said before "ain't nobody getting that". Enjoy the weekend family.
Sounds like a successful vape meet Rocco! Glad to hear you had some coverts!!
I hope you have a great weekend as well!
I've got to the stage where I can now start PIF to others now, I'm not as generous as you rocco, no one is having my DAV's and zeus, but in the last few weeks I have given out about 500mls of juice to my wife to give to a few vapers at her work, another 100mls to a worker I converted to vaping at my work, and while I was in ohio, me and the wife converted her aunt and uncle and gave them a stick battery and charger, they really liked it, so I packaged up all our pre-filled carts yesterday and mailed them, was something like 70 carts in total.
It is awesome to get vape mail, but a lot of satisfaction in giving in vaping as well :)
Nailz sir, Ain't that the truth. Love helping folks and getting Vapemail. I really did not have much choice. These were all long, long time friends, folks that can call me 24/7 if they need my help. It just kind of snowballed out of control. I was all set up for the couple from Florida having ordered in advance of their arrival. Just got some sampler packs to try and make it a little easier for them to be interested. I was not really thinking they would bite but was optimistic. I wish I would have taken a picture of my buddies face when he first hit the Zeus. It was like an AH HA moment on his face and he shouted WOW. His wife found her bliss at 3.5v on the DAV. Some of the girls liked the flavor but not the big batts so there went the VT's and my other friend who liked the 5v lives here in town so she got the passthru till I can get her a Zeus. Now I just have to get them on the forum so I don't become their tech support 24/7. LOL
Rocco how very kind of you! Something I have noticed about the vaping community is how kind and sharing everyone seems to be. Not to mention helpful when people have questions.
You are correct! These are things that drew me in closer to the vaping community. Without the support on the forum I don't know where I'd be. And the generosity is amazing! Especially between complete strangers.

The best I could offer friends were disposables. I'm not about to part with my recently acquired Zeus. :P
I did want to give them a taste because I'm realizing why stinkies are called stinkies. I suppose I was trying to convert friends so I could enjoy their company without having to smell said stinkies.
I hear you on that one!

I was also recently told that e cigs are 'stupid'. [eyeroll]
...I also want to echo the feelings of the above posts. The support and generosity of the members of this forum is almost unreal. In addition to the support, there is a strong sense of actually belonging. I don't feel judged, and I certainly have never experienced the "vape snobbery" that I have read on other forums.
Being a noob to e cigs when I first came here, I didn't know much outside of carts and stick batteries (both of which I still use)...but all of my questions have been answered, always kind and thoughtful people here....more than willing to help...anytime, it seems. :)
I know, I know...I went on and on, but, I really enjoyed the content of this thread :)
