Dead taste bud phase
When does it approximately happen, and how long does it approximately last?
I assume it is all as individual as the vaper...but, curious...ballpark.
I have seen it mentioned quite a few times, and didn't know if anyone would share personal experience.
I have been vaping since march...and, for the past couple days...I am noticing the flavor of food more than the vapor flavor.
And, I am talking about my fav flavors....which have a great flavor IMO. But, suddenly not so much. I even tried a carto from my first company, and similarly....very noticeably less flavored than I remember. :(
...but I won't stop vaping....honestly tho, the desire for an analog is more than its been in over a month....
Ms. Heidi usually takes place between the 3-5 week mark for most people. The only suggestions I can give to help out with it is to drink more water and switch up flavors more often. Usually lasts a week or two, just fight through it. It's all part of the 3 week wall....
Ms Hedi, It happens often and in varying degrees for most. It will pass. Make sure you're drinking plenty of water and hopefully your taste buds will adjust. Keep strong and keep Vapin!
Heidi, it took me about two months to get my bud kicking again. Like everyone said, it'll pass, just keep with vaping :). Changing flavors, daily or every other day helped too!
Re: Dead taste bud phase
Strong flavors helped me. Especially the minty ones. Even if I couldn't taste the flavor I usually got a nice rush of mintyness! But that's just me. I love mint! Cinnablaze is also a good one, if you're into that sort of thing, which I am :D

I don't think I ever went through the dead taste bud phase.. Flavor did get a bit stronger for me though. Well except for one Vapor4Life flavor. Pear, I have never been able to taste that one, tastes like a flavorless e-liquid imo.
I never had much a problem with the 'tasteless' phenomenon that many others run into, but I do find that my vaping experience is greatly increased if I sip on some plain water while I vape. I think it helps cleanse the palate and aid in appreciating flavor. Switching up flavors regularly is also something I do and seems to help things from getting dull - like when you switch air freshener scents - you seem to really notice the new scent a lot more because your senses have become accustomed to the previous one.
Hope you get through it, sooner rather than later! :)
