When I discovered Vapor4Life almost a month ago...I couldn't decide WHAT I needed MOST, other than "I want it ALL, and I want it NOW!!"...but, many of us when beginning this new hobby don't have a lot of money, so we have to use a little discretion when choosing the items to include in our "first order"...the nagging question "what do I REALLY NEED? Vs. What do I WANT?".
Some of you have already purchased starter kits from "other retailers", and one question is always "Will what I own NOW work with my NEW Vapor4Life goodies?". Unfortunately, the answer for the most part is "no", unless your batteries are threaded KR808-D1....(I know V2 is KR808). But, one thing to always bear in mind is that Vapor4Life batteries, chargers, cartomizers and tanks are engineered to work together; mixing items "could" spell a safety hazard or danger to your equipment. I would never advise mixing manufacturers....and to do so "might" void the warranty Vapor4Life offers. And although an Apple charger "might" power your pass through initially, the Apple charger was not designed to support the sustained load that chain-vaping a pass through puts on it...bottom line is to use only Vapor4Life battries, etc with Vapor4Life chargers, etc....
The second question is "What do I REALLY need?". Well, less is not more, MORE is MORE...but as a new user, minimum requirements are: a battery, a charger and cartomizers (enough cartomizers to sustain you through your next order + 3 to 5 days shipping time)
Let's chat a moment about batteries....(drawn from my OWN vaping experience over the last month)
Batteries come in three sizes, several styles and numerous colors:
Sizes: Short, Regular and XL...short is "about" the size of an unfiltered Camel, or Lucky Strike...the Short, because of its size, has the shortest battery life before it needs charging...the Regular, is more or less the length of a More or Virginia Slim; Because it is larger than the Short, it has a longer sustained charge than the Short. This was the first battery I purchased. The XL is the largest of the group and it has the longest battery life, but it is nicely balanced and feels good in your hand.
All Vapor4Life batteries can be ordered as either automatic or manual. I purchased one of each, so I would know for myself which I preferred...and each have their advantages. The Automatic fires when you draw on it. The advantage is that if you are multi-tasking, or driving perhaps, you can continue to draw and inhale vapor as you do so. It has an automatic cutoff. The disadvantage is that it isn't sealed, and would be more vulnerable if you ever decide to use a tank (discussed later) or begin refilling your own carts (also discussed later). The mannual has a button on the side, near the top (carto end) of the battery. In addition to having more control over the amount of time your battery fires, it also is less vulnerable than the automatic to leaks (no battery is leak-proof) and leaks WILL inevitably happen, no matter HOW careful you are!!
Although there are more styles than I will discuss here, I will only cover the "top three" ...
TITAN: the "cadillac" of the battery line up is available as a manual and and automatic...Vapor4Life has improved the auto by making it "sealed" to prevent damaged from overfilled carts but, as we discussed before, no battery is leak PROOF, only leak resistant! The Titan is covered by a velvety/silky surface that to many of us feels like "rose petals". The Vapor Titan also has a custom made, enhanced cell exclusive to Vapor4Life and an enhanced switch. Available in Diamond and Stealth styles. Colors available EXCLUSIVE to the Titan include Olive, Sapphire and Cigar (I'm very fond of the Sapphire, myself!)
VAPOR KING DIAMOND and VAPOR KING STEALTH:
The VK Diamond is available as an automatic and a manual e-cig battery with 10-second cutoff,*bejeweled* and multifaceted "diamond" over the LED, and a single Vapor4Life logo. The LED is available in several colors, depending on the battery color (check under "Stock Updates" in the forum to check out battery/LED colors, but your choices are only "preferences" and there is NO guarantee that your new Titan Diamond Sapphire will be available with a blue LED, so, if you put a choice in the comments section of your order, be sure to include a second preference) battery colors range from white, yellow all the way to black!
VAPOR KING STEALTH..the difference between the diamond and stealth models are the paint colors and the lack of "bling"...whether you choose the Vapor King or Titan, the stealth has no light at the end of the battery and is painted with a "camo" color design. The VK Stealth is also available in a few select "plain" non-camo colors....
My OWN experience: my FIRST purchase included one manual VK Stealth in camo gold and one Automatic VK Diamond in matte black...I have been very happy with my purchases! This post ran rather long, because there was SO much information to cover, so I will cover chargers, carts and juices and my own experiences in a later post...(I need to give my "typing finger" a rest!)
I hope this helped to understand a bit more about batteries! Ta-ta for now, and HAPPY VAPING!!
