"I know that I am hard to love, I know that I ask for far too much, but we get what we ask for sometimes, and sometimes we miss the mark. We miss the mark..."- ilyAIMY "the MARC"
I love it! I always get fussed at when I correct people that I work with. They usually do so by catching me in a stupid mistake of my own and rubbing my nose in it.
My biggest pet peeve is when someone says, "The yard needs watered.", or "The grass needs mowed.". Those really get on my nerves. It bothers me more than the fact that I don't have the money to pay a landscaper.
On a side note, I didn't vote for a few of the options because I am as guilty as the next in some cases. I never know when to say he or I or me or him...it's a character flaw.
"When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro." Hunter S. Thompson
My pet peeve is the rampant use of "myself" (reflexive pronoun) in place of "me" (pronoun), in order to sound more important or educated. Not! Picky, I know...
Example: "The task was accomplished by Jim and myself" (second booby prize for "Jim and I"....try it without Jim in there).
Rant over. Me? Guilty of the overuse of "you know".
THAN THAN THAN, not THEN.
Java Mint is better then Wowboy. NO IT'S NOT. Java Mint is better than Wowboy.
Misplaced apostrophes. Plural vs possessive. Drive's me nut's.
The word "definitely" is definitely spelled "definitely", not definately.
"Alot" is not a word. It is two words. A lot.
eta: Usage of regional vernacular doesn't bother me.
Has anyone seen my red pen? Now, if you quiz me on science or math you will take my red pen and stab me with it.![]()

I love this thread. Not knowing the difference between "there", "they're", and "their" drives me up a wall, with "your" and "you're" a close second.
I do have to give props to kittiepie though, people mixing up "then" and "than" makes me a little nuts as well. I had forgotten about that one.
