    Airport Security?

We are taking some flights over the next couple months.

I am guessing I can't fly with e-liquid in my carry on luggage.

Anyone have any insight to offer?

Well, yeah, there's the liquids rule. The 3-container rule has been relaxed. Here it is from TSA:

3-1-1 for liquid carry-ons = 3.4 ounce (100ml) bottle or less (by volume) ; 1 quart-sized, clear, plastic, zip-top bag; 1 bag per passenger placed in screening bin. One-quart bag per person limits the total liquid volume each traveler can bring. 3.4 ounce (100ml) container size is a security measure.

So, I guess they are saying however many 100ml bottles you can shove into a quart-sized ziplock bag is what is permissible? By extension, I would imagine the 30ml bottles are just fine, and you can have a bunch of those too...

I've flown with batteries and cartos with my laptop in carryon with success, including direct inspection, but wasn't refilling/dripping at that point, so did not have liquid.

Ah, cool. I guess I will just zip lock two bottles then and it should be ok.

Shoot I better zip lock my tanks as well. LOL

If they have any liquid in them, yeah... Might be good to have a carto or two for the airport, keep the tanks drained and the liquid in the bottles. Keeps it simpler, will probably make your trip through the line shorter. I've never tried travelling with liquids or the tanks, and I can imagine the tanks look a little strange. Depending on your airport and the experience/training of your particular TSA agents, I can see where they might trip out on a filled-up tank. Maybe keep a V4L biz card with your stuff, I always keep a few with mine just in case.

You can always check a bag...depending on how long you are staying away, might be better...everything in a ziplock, on top of everything, all bottles clearly marked, business card, no juice in tanks..you know, regular precautions. Make it EASY for the inspectors to see that you aren't a sneaky bomber type fellow...you make things easy for them, they are more likely to make it easy for you...

as I told Son: ALWAYS be RESPECTFUL, and address authority figures with "yes, sir" and "no, ma'am", look at him with respect (YES, EVEN IF THEY DONT DESERVE IT!!) and they are less likely to F??? with you...they are accustomed to dealing with beligerent drunks, outraged druggies and folks with less than honorable intentions. If you don't have anything to hide, of course they can come in, or search your car or pat you down...if you DO have something to hide, request a search warrant, respectfully, of course, and use your dime to call a lawyer....(don't call me, cuz I can't help you, I'm broke) (spent all my $$$ during the Wheel Spin game at V4L!)

I also put electronics in with my makeup bag...or in my laptop bag...no problems either way

Hi Mike, we had this discussion in an earlier thread. Maybe this has some additional information

I've had my 30ml Juice bottle, 4 batteries, charger, and two packs of carts in my laptop satchel, with two batteries & four filled carts in the carrying case in my jacket pocket. I've travelled with this configuration from California (SD, LongBeach, OC, and LAX) to Charlotte, NC, NYC, Orlando FL, Seattle WA, Spokane WA, and San Francisco over the last 12 months. TSA & Airport security never even asked me what they were.
