Good morning from Northern California!
It was sunny and beautiful yesterday, grey & raining today.
Life's been hooking me up lately!
I'm just trying my best to deserve it.
Here's a photo from Highway 1, it runs along the Coastline from San Francisco to Orange County, this was in Santa Cruz.
Great pic loto. Whenever I look at ocean pics with rolling waves like that I can actually hear them in my head. :D In SD we don't have the pleasure of taking a cruise to the ocean beach. But I have visited several times. (Florida, California, Jamaica) That's one thing that sticks with me, the sound of rolling ocean waves with the seagulls in the backround. It's just so peaceful.
Good evening everyone :)
I say, take the whole week Cruel! I would if I could.
That is beautiful Loto!
Morandir sir, what testing company did y'all use? I've considered having it done for ours.
Been crazy busy around here with work and school! Just wanted to pop in and say hi. I'll try to get back later, but I have more homework tonight, blah.
Evening all. Exceptionally long day, started at 5am, ended at 9pm. Beyond tired....
CrueLworLD sir call him super Mario because he's pretty much the bigger version of our dog Mario. Got to look at the DNA results today (Mom e-mailed them to me) his dad only had one pure-bred dog in his family tree, a great grandfather that was a boxer. His mom's side is all american pitbull terrier on one side, all boxer the other, so his mom was a boxer/APBT mix, which is pretty much what Jamie is (he looks more pitty than anything else). Mario's dad was nothing but mix breeds going back 3 generations, his mom otoh was pure pug on one side and american staffordshire terrier the other, being a pug/amstaff mix. Mario looks a piutbull left in the dryer too long with a curled tail. They act almost exactly alike, same white sploches on their chest, just one is pocket size the other standard. :)
Ms. Harmony we used wisdom panel. Our vet speaks very highly of them, they urge people to get their dogs tested so they can get a rough ideal of what to expect health wise later on. A major plus about them is they won't report their findings to any authorities or testify in court if your dog happens to fall under any BSL laws in your state. We have it here in PG county (Pitbulls are illegal). Both Mario and Jamie came from PG county shelter, both were listed as something different (Mario Australian Cattle Dog mix, Jamie Lab/American bulldog mix), but both are more pitbull than anything else, so them not standing by their findings in a court of law means no way they can prove them to be anything but what the shelter said.
Thank you sir :) I wanted to get them tested so that we know what to call them when people ask. In the case of renting and insurance especially. They have all (with the exception of the doxie) been called "pit bull type" dogs by most people that see them. But if we can get a better idea of what they are we can tell the landlords something other than "mixed breed". Oddly enough "mixed breeds" are banned from some properties :wtf: I know that the test doesn't really prove anything legally, but we will have it as a reference and that's all I want.
That is nice that they were given a different breed at the shelters, especially considering the BSL.
Good morning everyone. Harmony, I did take the whole week off. But it's going by waaaaaaaay too fast. :scared:
Hmm, my daughter has about 100 toys in the living room, yet she prefers to play with EVERYTHING that she shouldn't be playing with. Isn't that ironic, Don't ya think? Have a great friday everyone!
Afternoon all. Was a short day at work, only 8 hours. Still feel like a truck has hit me.
It's really sad, the people who actually know about dogs Ms. Harmony (like yourself) know how great the bully breeds are. They get a bad rep because of bad owners, and instead of blaming the people they blame the dogs. I find it strange how 99% of the people I talk to who feel the pit bull should be banned have never been around one or owned one.
