First off... I'm new to vaping and just ordered a modest starter kit with a couple of bottles of juice. Now for the 5 pack that comes with the kit , I ordered Wow menthol sampler. They also threw in a hand full of random flavors as as a giveme (thanks...very much appreciated ). The problem I have is that all the menthol carts were very bland ... very low flavor.. And the didn't last very long at all. I got Wow Nuport as one of my juices and it has to be the bestest...closest thing to a real menthol cig Ive ever tried. LOVE IT!!! The thing is, the Nuport in the sampler pack (all the carts actually) was horrible.... Nothing like the juice.... No flavor or throat hit. Now the givemes were full of flavor and fresh...(thanks for the Cola... I would never have ordered it and I love it)... Is there a chance my sampler pack was old and stale? Or is there that much difference between juice and carts?
I believe this is just how the pre filleds are, I don't like them, but that's me.
I suggest getting some blank cartos and filling yourself, with NuPort.
I find that pre filleds, and filling yourself taste very very different, filling yourself being a more 'fresh' taste, and last way longer, but this is my opinion.
Filling yourself is the way to go once you've established taste preference :) also saves money.
Get some blank cartos and some NuPort my friend :)

Its not likely that a sampler was old. They sell pretty well. It takes a little trial and error to find what is going to work for you.Maybe order some blank cartos and juice and try that.I would just refill the menthol samplers with the Newport that you do like. Welcome to the forum and I hope you find the perfect vape to suit your taste. People here are always ready to help and give advice. Its a great support system.
Welcome! To answer your question for some folks like myself there really is that much difference between prefills and juice.

I agree strongly with SD. At first I thought prefills were tastier and longer lasting that filling blank cartos. (I never used the syringe method, always drip and taryn spin.) I began stocking blanks and juices, and a few boxes of cartos in the same flavor in case I ran out of juice or needed one in a hurry without having to top it off and test it. After vaping a few particularly weak tasting cartos, I topped them off with the matching juice, and that did the trick! The cartos tasted much better to me, and I was able to drip and spin without issue (since the bottom was initially saturated enough another way).
Now that I use tanks instead of regular cartos, the above is all moot to me as it's easy to set up and use, easy to see how much is left and prevent drying/burning the carto.
Note: Despite my indifference since I now use tanks, I do wonder why the seems to be true - especially if they are being prefilled from the same batch of juice that they are selling in bottles. Perhaps it is less exposed to the elements in the bottle than in a carto (even with endcaps). This seems true observing my MOD+6ml Tank. When I'm chain vaping away, only the metal top and to a much lesser degree bottom cap heat up. It seems as the large amount of liquid surrounding the carto in the cank both insulates and/or absorbs and evenly distributes the heat it is generating, so insulates the tank itself from you feeling the heat, and may also acct as sort of a radiator, with the metal top and bottom caps help exchange heat.
Sorry if this is TL;DR all.. just my 2 cents.
