And finally we have the XL manual, another black matte with a red led. Her name is Melissa (yet another King Diamond reference, see a theme here?).
Couldn't do the really long slim line charger tests with this batt, but will give how long it took to charge on the slim line for each time and the offload voltage:
Charge 1- 151min 4.23v
Charge 2- 149min 4.22v
Charge 3- 150min 4.22v
It takes a little longer to charge than the previous batts by about 10-11 minutes, but no surprise with the higher mah. Further tests will be done.
Cut off time on this batt was 10.6 seconds, again consistent with the target range. As I purchase more of these will get a better average of how long the cut off time is, but guessing we're looking at the 10-11 second range overall. The autos were 19.8 seconds on the lowest, 21.7 on the highest to give you an example of the range their 20 second cut off fell into. Remember fault tolerances do come into play on every electronic device.
Before I even touch on the run time need to mention the draw. On all three sizes the draw is the same (every manual experiences this, part of it being sealed), which was what was expected. Still can't express how awesome it is though. It's like the draw of that of a regular v2 king diamond batt. If you don't like feeling like you're sucking a 35lbs block of orange slices through a crazy straw, then these are the manuals for you.
The run time on this batt was simply amazing. Longest lasting non-mod/non-fat batt I've ever come accross. Runs one and three were used with a wow carto at 2.3ohms, second run with a cool cart at 3.3ohms with chain vaping.
Run 1 with wow carto- 281min
Run 2 with cool cart- 345min
Run 3 with wow carto- 280min
That's around a 15% gain again on run time in comparison to the autos. This puts the batt around 420-430mah range if the autos were 380mah (again no way to confirm it without proper equipment). Voltage testing on the final run was as follows:
4.19 (at start), 4.18 (9min), 4.17 (18min), 4.16 (27min), 4.15 (36min), 4.14 (45min), 4.12 (54min), 4.11 (63min), 4.10 (72min), 4.08 (81min), 4.06 (90min), 4.05 (99min), 4.04 (108min), 4.03 (117min), 4.03 (126min), 4.01 (135min), 4.0 (144min), 4.0 (153min), 3.99 (162min), 3.97 (171min), 3.95 (180min), 3.94 (189min), 3.92 (198min), 3.91 (207min), 3.91 (216min), 3.89 (225min), 3.88 (234min), 3.87 (243min), 3.85 (252min), 3.85 (261min), 3.84 (270min), 3.73 (279min), puffed it for another minute and did one last check with the voltage of 3.71. Could again tell it was the end of the charge cycle.
Once again we see 4.194v as the starting voltage under load. Tested this starting voltage on with the cool cart on all three sizes and got the same result. The new IC does indeed droop the voltage more than the autos but there are very few people who can tell the difference between 4.19v and 4.2v anyways, so it's not a major deal at all. Snow sir put is best, 3.85v and above most aren't going to notice a difference, it's when it drops below that you leave the sweet spot area of most juices. Great part is you can very easily avoid deep cycling with these batts because of the dramatic changing of gears.
So there we have it, and before black friday like I hoped. The wait was long for all the manual lovers here, but can honestly say it was worth it. I really haven't touched manuals since the king diamond and stealth line were released early this year, these have brought back my appreciation for manuals all over again. It's night and day comparing these manuals to those of the vapor king line. Just keep in mind the regular and xl have no case yet, and you really should purchase the slim line charger for them, but small prices to pay for the best non-mod batt to date. Truly can't wait for the stealth versions and hope this technology will transfer over to the autos. Smilin sir and all the other great people of Vapor4Life you have every right to be proud of these batts. Thank you for everything you do.
