Buy the best dry herb, dab pens and wax vaporizers on the market!

Dry herb vaporizers and dab pens have become wildly popular in the past couple years. More and more people are vaping cannabidiol (CBD) and it’s becoming increasingly mainstream to vape with a vape pen. Just like with any new device, it’s important to know as much as you can about vaporizers when you begin using them. The huge demand for loose leaf vaporizers has led to a ton of different products being made, tweaked and perfected in the vape world. This can seem a little confusing at first, but once you become acquainted with the ins and outs of portable and desktop vaporizers, you’ll find that this wealth of options will help you personalize your experience. The best place to start is, of course, at the beginning. There’s no simple answer to the question, “What is an herbal vaporizer?” because there are many different ways to vape dry herb. At Vapor4Life, we carry both conduction and convection herbal vaporizers, but it’s important to know the difference in how these vaporizers work. Since herbal vaporizers do not “burn” herb, engineers have developed a couple different ways to heat herbal concentrates or dry herb.Dry herb vaporizers work by heating dry herb to create vapor without the harshness that comes from combustion. In an herbal vaporizer that uses conduction, your loose leaf herb heats up by directly coming into contact with a heat source.

Heating Methods

Early on, conduction was the most popular heating method used in vaporizers. When you vape with an herbal vaporizer that uses conduction, your wax oil, or herb heats up by directly coming into contact with a heat source. Many people who vape concentrates prefer direct conduction heating, or “dabbing.” Eventually, convection heating became a more popular way to vape herbs and concentrates. Convection heating heats air that warms up your dry herb by passing through it. This heating converts your dry herb vapor, and voila!, you’re vaping happy! Among the benefits of convection is that it your loose leaf herb or oil will heat more evenly, and will respond more readily to temperature control adjustments.

Portable or Desktop

As we mentioned, there are endless options when it comes to choosing the best dry herb vaporizer for you. Most of these options can be split into two basic categories: portable and desktop vaporizers. Some people opt for both portable vape pens and desktop versions so they can vape concentrates on the go and enjoy dry herb in the comfort of their own living room. Portable herbal vaporizers, which are often called vape pens, are similar to vape mods, in that they are lightweight and can be carried in your pocket or purse. Some examples of portable vaporizers include the G Pen Elite Vaporizer, the Yocan Evolve, and the G Pen Pro Vaporizer. You can buy all of these here at Vapor4Life! Desktop vaporizers, such as the popular Volcano, must be plugged into a power source to operate. You can’t tote them around, as you would a portable vape pen. Technically you can, but a Volcano would look really awkward in your pocket. Desktop vaporizers also allow you to vape for extended periods because they don’t require charging before use.

Heating Material

Users can also tailor their results by choosing a specific material in their herbal vaporizer’s heating system as well. Stainless steel emerged early on as one of the favorites, especially in conduction heating. Whether your dry herb vape has a stainless steel block, or stainless steel screen for heating, one benefit is that you will retain heat longer. If you’re interested in a stainless steel tank for your vaporizer, the Ebob Wax Tank is a solid option. Convection vaporizers, however, work best with a ceramic heating system. With these types of devices, it may take longer to heat up, but you’ll find that the ceramic system retains heat and resists cool air longer than other heating methods. We sell the Kiln RA Vape Tank, one of the best ceramic tanks on the market. You can also opt for a hybrid heating system in your herbal vaporizer. One type of hybrid system uses stainless steel for heat exchange in a ceramic system. Another popular type of hybrid heating system consists of a glass chamber surrounded by a metal wire. A microchip works to keep temperature stable and prevent cooling in this system.

Power System

In order to heat up your herb vaporizer, you’re going to need some power. Just like the heating system you choose, whichever power system you opt for can help personalize the way you vape your herb or oil. Here are a few popular options.

The most universal way to power portable dry herb vaporizers is by using rechargeable batteries. Lithium ion (Li-Ion) batteries, NiMH and LiPro batteries are some of the choices available. NiMh and LiPro batteries charge via an external charger, whereas lithium ion (Li-Ion) batteries are usually nested in your vaporizer and must be plugged into an outlet or USB to charge.
