Vvrrrroooomm, vrooom! Are you a biker who lives near Chicago? If so you won't want to miss our booth at the Highwood Bike Rally! This event takes place on the fourth Sunday of each month through September at The Toadstool Pub in Highwood, Illinois. Bikers and bike clubs from all over the Midwest are invited to celebrate the joy of motorcycle riding. The event supports Margaret's House, an organization benefiting abused women. Guests will enjoy "bold biker bites", beer, live blues music, and Poker run. A "Best of Bike" show will take place on the last Sunday where prizes will be awarded to "Best Paint Job", "Best Chrome Job", and "Best Decorated." The first ever "Highwood Biker Betty" will also be crowned on this day. This biker babe will be the queen of bikers all around. The winner will be determined with the loudest motorcycle roars as contestants take the stage and proudly declare why they should be the first Biker Betty!
The monthly Bike Rally will lay the foundation for the launch of the new not-for-profit organization for abused women, Margaret's House. This organization was started by Chuck Knesley, owner of Chief's Pub in Lake Forest, as well as a motorcycle enthusiast. Chuck's efforts were instrumental in developing the first annual Highwood Bike Rally, which will help raise awareness and money to build the first safe house for women.
The rally takes place from 10am to 4pm on the following Sundays:
The Toadstool Pub is located at 327 Waukegan Ave. Stop by to meet other bikers and learn about e-cigarettes. We'll have some special deals going on that you won't want to miss!
