This is a guest post written by Morandir835, an e-cig enthusiast, admin on the Vapor4Life forum, and a regular on their ECF sub forum. I celebrated my two-year vaperversary on December 23. With year one it truly felt like a special day of celebration. I'm not sure if it's due to work, or how crazy my life has been lately, but this one lacked that feeling. If you don't know me and my story from the forums, I'll explain how I got into vaping in the first place. I tried to switch from smoking multiple times in my life. I tried every type of alternative there was except acupuncture. I had hit rock bottom.  When my wife and I moved into a new apartment, we viewed it as a great chance to start anew, which included getting away from analogs. I went the usual routes to no avail.  Then came the day I was searching for a gift for my wife. As much as I hate the mall kiosk vendors, they were my first introduction to e-cigs. I didn't buy one there (no way was I paying $300 for a starter kit), but that night I started looking up different vendors. I ended up with a choice I regret, but at the time was deemed the best by several websites. It didn't work, and I was back to my two-pack a day habit within a couple of weeks. I didn't give up though, I tried other companies, and but got the same result. Finally I delved into the Electronic Cigarette Forum (ECF), and from there found the best two starter types,  which at the time were 510 and 808 batteries. I ordered a kit each from two separate vendors, with my Vapor4Life kit arriving first. It arrived on December 23, 2011, and I haven't had an analog since. All the different kits did was spawn my obsession with trying everything, and testing it in every way possible. So now two years later I'm still at it, always testing something new. Vapor4Life recognized all the hard work I've done with helping and contributing, and named me an admin of their forum.  While their WOW New Menthol has gotten a new name (formerly known as Nuport), it's still the same great flavor it was two years ago that got me to switch. Looking back as I usually do on anniversaries I have just one regret.  I've grown more serious it seems as time has gone by. There was a time I used to be the 'off topic king' on the forum, transcending every topic into an organic conversation. I don't know exactly when that ended, but maybe at some point, I will find that side of myself again. I still test everything, though going into the new year I might add a video aspect to the reviews, considering a very good friend of mine is no longer doing them. I won't name names due to fear of leaving people out, but want to say thank you to those who have helped me throughout these two years. Whether it be through friendship, laughs, help, or simply putting up with me, it means more than words can say. Contact Morandir835 via e-mail at [email protected] or through his page on ECF.
