FDA Deeming Regulations Deadlines Delayed by 90 Days; Vapers Not Off the Hook Yet
The FDA just announced that it will delay deadlines for its Deeming Regulations by 90 days due to an ongoing trial involving the Cigar Association of America, International Premium Cigar and Pipes Retailers Association and Cigar Rights of America. The trial was delayed by a month in March and presiding Judge Amit P. Mehta announced further delays today. As a result, the FDA has made an agreement to delay all deadlines for the Deeming Regulations by a period of three months.
This buys vapers a little time as many are still holding on to hope that the Trump Administration and the as-yet-unannounced new Surgeon General will snuff out the FDA Deeming Regulations completely.
