Impact of the PACT Act On Our Ability to Ship to Customers

PACT Act impact on Vapor4Life shipping

The new PACT Act has significantly reduced our ability to ship to most states in the short term. We are working on an independent network of regional delivery companies that will allow us to stay in business and supply our customers. Over the coming months we expect to be able to deliver to 90% of our United States customers.

Currently, we can ship to the following states:

  • Illinois
  • Missouri
  • Florida
  • Mississippi
  • North Dakota
  • Arizona
  • Delaware

(We will update this list when we complete registration in additional states in the coming weeks.)

Pickup at our Warehouse

This is great news if you live in a state with a flavor ban, prohibits the shipping of vape products or are simply in a hurry, Vapor4Life now offers in store pickup for all Midwest customers at our Northbrook Illinois warehouse. Residents of Southeastern Wisconsin are located less than an hour away and Indiana not much further. Even Michigan is reasonable jaunt when you consider the savings you will accrue by purchasing and picking up your order.

Our address is:

Vapor4Life

4080 Commercial Drive

Suite A

Northbrook, IL 60062

With the PACT Act in place, the price of shipping has dramatically increased and we are currently unable to ship to many states. While we continue to work with local carriers and registering with states and localities, it may be another month before we are able to reach a wide swathe of the United States.

In-store pickup is also a convenient way to avoid the signature verification requirements that future orders will require starting in late March. Naturally, you will be asked for an ID but you won’t need to wait around for the mail carrier to show up.

All Orders Will Require Signature with Delivery

Signature verification will add additional cost to our shipping.  Local customers should picking up your orders at our warehouse in Northbrook, IL.

International Orders

Outside the USA:  We can still ship to you as normal but that will end abruptly and without notice sometime between now and April 26th, 2021.

Buy Now

At some point between now and April 26th, we will no longer be able to use the United States Post office. (We are already banned from using other major carries like UPS & FedEx.) When the ban goes into effect, shipping costs will go up. It is also likely that prices will go up industrywide due to the significant extra cost to comply with new regulations.

What can you do to stop this nonsense?  The new regulations were voted on in Congress and signed by the President in December of 2020 as part of the Omnibus Appropriations Bill.  Support for the new vape regulations was bi-partisan and met with little congressional resistance.  Filling out online forms has not helped so we are recommending you contact your congressperson directly and express your extreme disgust.  It probably won’t change things this year but might help in the years to come.

Thank you and we appreciate your support.  Most of us at Vapor4Life have worked here for over five years and many of us have been here from the early days around 2009.  Being an online retailer, we don’t always have as much of a personal connection to our customers as we would like.  We want you to know we have appreciated your support over the years and look forward to another few decades of providing you with smoking alternatives.
