If you’ve read any of our posts about vaping in Chicago, you already know that Illinois is not friendly to its vapers. Now there’s a new Illinois vaping bill that seeks to raise the legal age to buy tobacco and vape products from 18 to 21. If you live in the state, we urge you to take action to oppose Illinois vaping bill HB 3208 and keep vape products accessible for more smokers. There are a couple of ways that you can fight for the cause.   Attend the Public Hearing on Tuesday, March 7, 2017.   On March 7, 2017 at 3:30 p.m., vapers can attend a public hearing in the state capitol to oppose Illinois vaping bill HB 3208. Select advocates will speak at the event, but we encourage vapers to attend and stand in solidarity to express opposition.   Here is the address at which the hearing will be held: House Consumer Protection Committee Room D-1 in the Stratton Building   Sign a Witness Slip   If you can’t attend the public hearing over the new Illinois vaping bill, you can officially indicate your opposition online using this link. It just takes a few minutes to complete a witness slip and your name will be officially logged in opposition to the bill. You can also send a more detailed personal testimony to committee members at the following emails: [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], [email protected].   It’s up to all of us to make sure that this Illinois vaping bill does not pass and continue to limit access to vape products for those who rely on them. Thanks for all you to make sure that we can all vape on!
