This is a guest blog post by Morandir. It's very rare for me to get personal in a blog, but I've been in a very reflective mood the past few days. The holiday season combined with my approaching three-year vaperversary brings it out of me. This has been  one of the most trying  years of my life. There's been a lot  full of ups and downs to say the least.  The beginning part was one of the roughest stretches of all. Right after a great experience going out to V4L headquarters in Chicago, the following Saturday my boss and long time friend passed away (knew him for over half my life, and had the pleasure of working with him for almost a decade). A few months later  my dog  tore his other  CCL (K9 equivalent of an ACL).  Work has been borderline overwhelming since February as well.  But these past few months have been some of the best times in my life. VaperCon was a true highlight, getting to meet many of the great people of the V4L  forum in person and spending the day with them was priceless. The lone vacation my wife and I took together this year for her birthday was  more fun and full of my surprises than I thought it could be.  Through it all the V4L  forum and the people on it have been a constant. I can't thank  them enough for everything they've done. When named admin of the forum my hope was to help  make it  a place as welcoming and helpful to one and all, whether they lurked or post. It's far surpassed what I had in mind, and it's because of  everyone there  that it has. So I just want to take a quick moment to give some appreciation. It's because of the forum and everyone on it I have never strayed back to analogs, even during some of the toughest times this past year. Hope everyone has a happy holiday, whatever it is you celebrate.
