Even the most knowledgeable vaper can be a bit intimidated by the sheer number of flavors to choose from. This is why we created our e-juice flavor page. You can search e-juices by flavor profile and find exactly what you are looking for. Looking for a minty menthol, decadent dessert, fresh fruit or a traditional tobacco e-juice? We have all these flavors and more, categorized for your convenience. If you are a fan of our amazing Vapor Zeus and Vapor Titan, you will find that we have whatever vape pen flavor your heart desires.
Below is an image of the interface of our shop page for ejuice. All of the information you need is available: bottle size, nicotine strength, price, flavor description and VG/PG ration (more on this later).
E-Juice Nicotine Levels
Almost all ejuices and most vape pen flavors are available without nicotine. If there is nicotine in the e-juice, it will be freebase nicotine unless the bottle is labelled as nic salt, salt nic, salt or nicotine salts. Nicotine strength is either measured in percent or mg/ml. When purchasing an e-juice at Vapor4Life, you will be prompted to select a nicotine strength and both of these units of measure are visible.
The amount of nicotine you need in your ejuice depends on several factors. How much you smoked plays a role, as does how often you vape. But the type of device you use plays just as big of a role. If you didn’t smoke, then you should use zero nicotine ejuice.
A subohm box mod uses a lot of ejuice. So you probably want an e-juice between 0 and 0.6% nicotine, maybe 1.2% if you were a very heavy smoker.
If you use a classic stick battery e-cig, Vapor Zeus or a classic e-cig like the Vapor Titan, we have created this handy chart for you. To examine this important consideration more closely, we recommend reading our Guide to E-Cigarette Nicotine Levels.
At the high end of the freebase nicotine spectrum, our Wow and Premium ejuices are available up to 3.6% nicotine, although they have a great selection of lower nicotine levels. Even more potent are nic salts, most are available at either 2.5 or 5% nicotine. These are perfect for classic vape pens, and you will find our vape pen flavors are unmatched in the industry.
If you use a Vapor Zeus, pod vape system, cartomizer, or higher resistance vaping device, then a higher nicotine level may be preferred. These smaller devices are less powerful and burn less juice. But the punch of extra nicotine makes chain vaping unnecessary, and even detrimental. They are great for discrete vaping and for vapers who are unwilling or unable to chain vape. High nicotine vape oil flavors are generally sharper tasting because of their lower VG content.
Prefilled vape pods have nicotine salt in them. If you like the authentic throat burn of PG heavy juices, and want more control over your nicotine level. The Vapor Titan and its prefilled cartridges provides the same level of convenience and a smaller form factor than a prefilled pod system. Disposable e-cigs are an even more convenient way to familiarize yourself with ejuice flavors and figure out your vaping preferences.
Nic salts also work great with refillable vape pods and the Vapor Zeus. We urge you not to use nic salts in your subohm mod. They are simply too potent. Everything you need to know about nicotine salts is covered in this featured deep-dive “What is Salt Nic?” The Vapor Titan offers functionality similar to a refillable vape pod, if you choose you choose to use refillable or blank Vapor Titan cartridges, and fill them up with the e-juice of your choice.
E-Juice VG/PG Ratios
When selecting an ejuice, it is not just a matter of individual flavor preferences and nicotine strength. Our website lists the VG/PG ratio under the picture of every eJuice and this is important information. The VG/PG ratio will have a big impact on your vaping experience, and will determine how well your vaping device can handle the e-liquid you purchase.
Understanding VG/PG ratios will greatly enhance your vaping experience. We provide a convenient guide to e-juice terminology below. It can help you navigate the hundreds of options we have available and make sure you find a perfect fit.

Wow and Premium E-Juices
E-juice and vape oil are interchangeable terms, but you won’t mistake any other brand for our amazing and proprietary Wow and Premium e-juices. These were designed by smokers for smokers and are a perfect cigarette alternative. They work great when used in the mighty variable voltage Vapor Zeus. You won’t find a better selection of tobacco flavors anywhere! These are blend of 25% PG, and deliver the authentic throat hit that is preferred by heavy smokers. The higher PG ratio provides clearer flavors because the sweetness of vegetable glycerin is largely absent.
It is not unusual for smokers to stay loyal to a single brand of cigarette. But there are so many amazing e-liquid flavors out there and it can be hard to narrow it down to just one.
Guide to E-Juice Terminology
Nic salts are all about nicotine content, not cloud production. Salt refers to their molecular structure although they physically resemble regular e-juices. At the most basic level, there are naturally occurring nicotine salts in the tobacco leaf, but these are not the kind found in ejuice. The natural nicotine salts are stripped from the nicotine using a process pioneered by Phillip Morris 50 years ago. This creates freebase nicotine, which was the industry standard and provided the nicotine for all vape juices until 2015.
In 2015, Juul began to add nic salts back into the freebase nicotine using benzoic acid. Unlike the naturally occurring nicotine salt, the benzoic acid nic salts reduced the pH of freebase nicotine and allowed it to cross the blood brain barrier more easily. The lower pH means that much higher level of nicotine can be added to a nic salt ejuice. It is the pH level that gives high nicotine freebase juices a strong throat kick. This transformation of the vaping industry is covered in greater detail in The Truth and Technology Behind Juul and Nic Salts Revealed.
Vegetable Glycerin (VG)
VG is considerably thicker than PG. E-juices high in VG are optimized for low-resistance subohm coils. Subohm coils are typically standard issue in the tanks that come with box mods. The ohm rating can usually be found on the side of the coil and in the product manual.
VG has a naturally sweet flavor that formulators have can use to enhance dessert and fruit flavors. Juices with higher VG percentages (60-70 percent) heats slower and requires a more powerful device. The higher power usage burns both batteries and juice at fairly fast clip. VG heavy juices are perfect for producing massive clouds. The lack of a throat hit is perfect for direct to lung vaping. Here is where we cover the difference between direct to lung vaping and mouth to lung vaping.
The increased viscosity of high VG juice can clog cartomizers and higher resistance coils. In some older tanks, juices with high VG percentages (50 percent or more) will barely work at all.
If you want to use high VG juices in a classic second generation cartomizer or a tank with higher resistance coils, make sure that the cotton wicking is well-saturated at all times. This will reduce the chances of a dry hit. The potential issue is that high VG juice may not soak into the smaller wicking ports of high resistance coils.
Propylene Glycol (PG) does not have the intrinsic sweetness of VG. This is why high PG can have a clearer and more distinct flavor profile. PG heats faster and produces less vapor. Just as important, PG provides a great throat hit which provides a more authentic experience for heavy smokers. E-juices which have more than 50 percent PG, ideally 70 percent, are perfect for use with high resistance coils (1.5 to 2.5 ohm) and atomizers.
If you are looking to vape discretely and use less juice, then high PG juice and less powerful device is the way to go.
High PG juices provide an exceedingly aggressive throat hit if used in a subohm tank. There is also the potential for leakage because of the low viscosity of PG juices. The more cotton that is visible on the side of a coil, the more likely it is that the PG will work its way through and potentially leak.
Vape Oil goes by many names. Ejuice, vape flavors, vape pen oil, ejuice, eliquid, vape juice, salt nic, nic salt, etc. etc. In every case, they are describing an oil used in a vaping device. Most include nicotine, some do not. VG/PG ratios vary, and there are thousands of flavors. But at the end of the day, these eliquids have a tremendous impact on your vaping experience. It is crucial that we protect our rights and defend our access to the flavors of our choice. Proposed laws like the SAFE Kids Act would not only take away our choices, but would destroy the vibrant and crucial ejuice industry.
The Basics of E-Cigarettes
The mechanics that underlie e-cigarettes is beyond the scope of this e-juice guide. But there are a couple of structural elements that dictate what type of ejuice works best with a given device. The first is the coil. The resistance of the coil determines how fast it will heat up. All of the devices at Vapor4Life are regulated, which means they rely on circuitry rather than open current to heat the coil.
A simple rule of thumb is that tanks with low resistance coils work best with low or zero nicotine ejuice that is high in VG. High resistance coils work best with high PG juices and can be used with higher nicotine levels.
A second important consideration is airflow. This is exactly what it sounds like. Low power devices generally have a tight draw to mimic a cigarette. This is ideal for mouth to lung vaping, which has an inhalation action similar to smoking a cigarette and is discussed in more detail below.
The tanks on larger box mods have adjustable airflow and you can set it to your preference, but they usually have the potential to allow a lot of airflow. This is perfect for direct to lung vaping and throwing serious clouds. We have provided an illustrated guide to some popular vaping devices at the end of this section.
You will notice that the coils on vaping devices have an ohms rating. This is a measure of resistance. Lower resistance means more current can pass through a coil. This translates into faster heating and higher temperatures. E-juices high in VG work best with coils that have a low resistance, high resistance coils will get gunked up by the more viscous vegetable glycerin.
On the flip side of the coin, low resistance coils and tank designs will often leak when filled with high PG juice. Low resistance can be defined as less than 1.0 ohms. Juices with a PG percentage of 70 percent or more work best on coils that are over 1.5 ohms.
Pod systems are optimized for nic salts, but many of these designs are great for freebase or regular ejuices as well. There are two types of pod systems. There are closed or prefilled vape pods. This are great for beginners. You just snap on a prefilled pod and go. This style of system has been in the news lately, as the FDA considers a Juul and vape pod ban.
There are also open or refillable vape pod systems. Refillable pod vape kits are taking off in popularity because they allow you to choose from thousands of ejuice options and offer more performance flexibility than prefilled pod systems. You can always try your hand at refilling a Juul pod with your own vape juice, but most customers are limited to the dozen or so flavors they offer.
We reviewed the best refillable vape pod systems that the industry has to offer in our Top Ten Juul Alternatives review. Nic salts generally do not pair well with subohm coils. The exception is exceptional. The Lost Vape Orion DNA Go.
Vape mods are larger devices with a removable vape tank and swappable coils. Many have LED screens that allow you to customize performance. You can affix the vape tank of your choosing and the best mods provide technology and power unmatched by any other vaping platform. Many mods systems have swappable 18650 batteries. An even larger swappable battery has emerged in the last year, and we conducted an 18650 vs. 21700 battery comparison test this winter.
The come in all shapes and sizes. There are tube mods, single battery mods and even pod mods. In this blog, we examine the difference between vape mods and pod mods. Most vape mods are designed for direct to lung vaping, and have subohm coil options. But there are plenty of devices with higher resistance coils.
Stick Battery Cartomizers
Refillable vape pods are the spiritual heirs to cartomizers. Both mimic smoking a cigarette and are work great with high-nicotine, high PG e-juice. Many of the differences are aesthetic. Pods snap into space rather than screw, and the wicking material is sometimes different. They are totally different devices, both their performance is surprisingly similar. The vaping world really has come full circle.
Closed vape pods like Juul are philosophically similar to e-cigs with prefilled cartridges. Small devices that are not disposable but also do not require filling. Instead, you swap out the ejuice receptacle which also contains the coil.
The biggest differences are that Juul uses nic salts, which are more potent, and the wicking. Silica wicking was largely abandoned by the vaping industry about 10 years ago, but Juul chose it because it has a better shelf-life. Makes sense for a prefilled, mass produced device. The cartridge on an e-cig screws on and provides a restrictive hit. You will not have access to the thousands of delicious e-juice flavors on the market with a prefilled e-cig or vape pod system.
Another exception is the Vapor Titan, it has an extensive array of prefilled carts to choose from, and an especially strong lineup of tobacco flavors. It has refillable cartridges, which work great with our Wow and Premium E-Juices.
With MarkTen going out of business and Green Smoking closing, the Vapor Titan is your go-to cartridge cig-a-like.
Types of Vaping
Mouth to Lung Vaping (MTL)
Do you know the difference between mouth to lung and direct to lung vaping? MTL is more like smoking. You inhale, hold the vapor in your mouth and draw it into your lungs. MTL devices have a tighter draw and a stronger throat hit. Vape pod systems, the Vapor Zeus, Vapor Titan, cartomizers and disposable e-cigs are all optimized for MTL vaping. The best vape pen flavors are engineered to give you the throat hit that you need.
The best e-juices for MTL have PG levels as high as 70 percent. As these devices produce far less vapor than a subohm mod, they generally rely on higher nicotine levels as well. With smaller clouds and higher nicotine levels, MTL vaping usually burns far less e-juice than DTL vaping. It is more discrete as well and requires less battery life as well, although we recommend adhering to basic vaping etiquette whenever using your e-cig in public. If you prefer MTL vaping, our Premium and Wow e-liquid, and nic salts are your best options.
Direct to Lung Vaping (DTL)
If you like chasing massive, creamy, delicious clouds, then you are probably a DTL vaper. It is called direct to lung because the devices generally have an open draw and larger mouth pieces, directly funneling the vapor straight into your lungs. This style took off in popularity when subohm mods exploded in popularity a few years ago. A VG percentage of 60-70 percent is standard and DTL vapers generally use lower nic levels as well.
If you are using a high performance DTL mod, you should look at high VG juices, usually 70 percent, and you will probably not need a nicotine level in excess of 6mg/ml. When you start to exceed 40 watts, a nic level of 3 mg/ml or even less is usually standard. If you are using fewer
